The location is fantastic in such a beautiful village. Maritsa Lodge is very characterful and authentic,spotlessly clean and the continental breakfast had a wide variety of choice. Maria was lovely and her staff were very attentive. Highly recommend a comfortable present stay.

Kakopetria is an absolutely charming mountain village that is well worth a visit, and Maritsa Lodge is the perfect place to stay while exploring it. Set in the heart of the old village, the accommodation combines traditional architecture with stylish and modern touches, creating a truly authentic atmosphere. The surrounding area is beautiful, with narrow cobbled streets, hidden courtyards, flowers everywhere, and plenty of friendly local cats. A pleasant walk along the nearby stream leads you to the village center through some of the most picturesque parts of Kakopetria. Our room was cozy, spotless, and equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities, while the balcony offered lovely views of the surroundings. Maria was an exceptionally kind, welcoming, and attentive host. The buffet breakfast was outstanding, featuring a variety of fresh local specialties, including traditional Cypriot coffee, regional cheeses, cold cuts, yogurt, fresh vegetables, and much more.

Wonderful stay at Maritsa Lodge! The location is perfect, right in the heart of Old Kakopetria, allowing you to enjoy the charm and atmosphere of the historic village while still being in a very quiet and peaceful setting. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very relaxing after a day of exploring the mountains and village streets. We especially loved the lovely terrace, which was a great place to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The breakfast was delicious and provided a great start to the day. Overall, the combination of the excellent location, comfortable accommodation, peaceful atmosphere, and warm hospitality made for a fantastic stay. We would happily return and highly recommend Maritsa Lodge to anyone visiting Kakopetria.

Very pretty outlook

We stayed at the property for only one night. Collecting the keys was easy, as the host's instructions were clear. The location is inside the old city, and we needed to park the car in another location. It was not difficult to find the parking spot just a few minutes' walk away (this might not be the case in high season). The buffet breakfast was tasty and abundant.

Maria's welcome was good. Location perfect. The place was, as described. Quirky not luxury but proper Cyprus.

We loved the place, original historic building, our room was so nice, beds are very comfortable. There is a heating system so that the room got cosy warm, water also hot. We enjoyed the breakfast on the terrace sitting in the morning sun, we had a really enjoyable stay

This is a traditional house, preserving the original features, in a very beautiful location. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. A walk through the old town, or along the river, takes you into the main part of the village, where there are shops and restaurants.

“Beautiful traditional accommodation in the heart of the mountains”

Beautiful, traditional Cypriot farmhouse which has been converted to a hotel. This is our third stay and we will be rebooking for next time we are in the Troodos. The property is in an old street, very close to a free parking area and very peaceful. Our room had the sound of the river running close by and a lovely terrace with mountain views. Nice continental breakfast in the morning with pre-chosen service time and lovely Cyprus coffee made by the host Maria. Short walk to restaurants and very close to a rope park which our son loves.

Breakfast was excellent, basically small hotel level. I got a room upgrade due to a cancellation or some change so I don't know how the original would have been but the new room was very large, the bathtub felt like a luxury and had lots of hot water available. Quiet during the night, clean and good location in the old Kakopetria town towards the end with the parking lot close by
