Surrounded by a pretty garden along the Kajaani River, this historic property is 600 metres from Kajaani town centre. It provides a garden terrace, free sauna access and individually decorated rooms. Very nice helpful staff, beautiful environment and decoration, tasty breakfast, relaxing sitting in the garden, gorgeous around, I appreciated the air conditioning, comfortable bed, blackout curtains, free parking, fast internet, quiet place and lots of mushrooms. I like to will come back.

“Warm soundproofed room. There is a sauna. The furniture was a little old, but it was comfortable.”
Good location, lots of nature around, away from the city. I managed to rest.

“They serve their breakfast in the nearby hotel not on the location, be aware!”
What I find total nonsense is the breakfast. You will arrive and then they tell you that breakfast is in the other hotel. So in the morning you have to drive to the other hotel to have your breakfast. It is great inconvenience to spend that extra time in the morning. It's fine if they do that but include that information in the description so that I know not to book a room in your hotel. Imagine someone is not travelling by car and have to walk in the morning to get to the breakfast and then back again to you room - crazy!

“Room nice for the sauna but can be improved, nice breakfast.”
We had the room with sauna and it was a real nice service. Anyway The room is old and needs to be improved. The breakfast was nice and in a really curated room. There was the service to take the keys also if we arrived later( although the reception close at 15)

Location was good - walking distance to city centre and the castle ruins. The room was quiet and clean and spacious. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.

Staff were nice and accommodating. The main building was historical and cute, but I stayed in the annex, so not sure if staying in the main house is a better experience. The area was very peaceful. Wifi was good.

Lovely place, great value for money, great breakfast Staff friendly and helpful. If you're looking for somewhere slightly off the beaten track and don't like stuffy corporate hotels this is the place for you.

“Best Breakfast Ever”
The breakfast was exceptionally good. Wonderfully tasty local produce.I had porridge heaped with lingonberries, blackcurrants and mixed seeds, topped off with warm apple and ginger sauce. Then, wholesome, locally baked tar bread with beetroot hummus, alonside scrambled and baked eggs with the freshest salad veg and watermelon slices. Then, seared squeaky cheese with cloudberry sauce and locally made herbal tea. Amazing flavours and distinctive local dishes were a hit. Location was lovely and quiet and guests respectful which made for a peaceful night. Room clean.
