Great budget hostel, with decent amenities. The owner was very nice and it was clean for the most part

Super nice and helpful owner. Arrived past midnight (with notice) but the owner waited to perform check-in. Central location to a JR train station, shopping, and main city viewpoint. Accommodations has a lot of character as a converted building. Owner helped me receive an online order and provided restaurant suggestions.

Perfect location for visiting Kagoshima and Sakurashima island before taking the night ferry to Yakushima The host has been very nice to me, offering me the individual room for the same price as I could not get a below bed in the dormitory… so nice from her She also speaks a very good English and could help me a lot when I asked my questions! Furthermore the price is just perfect, of course you cannot expect a 4stars hotel for that price but everything was clean !

Considering the price it is a good hostel. The common area is nice and the owner very friendly. Of course you can’t expect perfectly modern facilities but everything was alright.

Good location and cozy tatami room (private room). The host was very friendly. There was a safe provided for valuables.

Location is perfect, 10 minute bus ride from the station and a minutes walk to the large shopping area, plenty of local restaurants and cafes too

“Older Hostel, simple, clean, friendly”

I really liked the hostel. Be aware that the hostel is old and simple, but clean with good Japanese style. My Japanese style room was very nice. For the price, it exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, I could only spent one night and arrived late, but I had a good feeling there is a nice atmosphere.
