Super attractive hostel convenient to a train station and with unparalleled views of the volcano. Beside a walkable beach. Loved the upcycled wood throughout.

Beautiful place with a beautiful view. The bed was really confortable and the blanket so warm. The area is calm, but there are things to do and enjoy. The hooks in the room were really appreciated. I really enjoyed my stay.

Delightful guest house with atmospheric decor and cozy rooms. Bed is comfortable, the view of Sakurajima is great, and transportation, restaurants and Kagoshima's famous garden are all close by.

“Creepy but good view”

The view was great but the guest house was kind of creepy. We were the only ones there when we got there and all the lights were turned off. The wood was really old and creaky... it was good for what you pay for it and has that old vintage style if thats what youre into! Plus it has a pretty good view!

Very convenient four our family of four and the beach outside was super nice to swim in.

The location with a view of Sakurajima and being right on the beach is great - we went swimming every day.

Beach, nice view and sunrise

The amazing view on the volcano, the cozy interior that I’ve never seen anywhere before. The kind and helpful people. The beach that is within a 2 minute walk.

Fake guesthouse. Design is imitating dirty beauty but is not functioning. Views are lying. They are NOT on Sakurashima, not even on the sea. No personnel. Fake hostel without spirit trying to cheat foreigners. Reported for misinformation.

Perfect location with astoning view upon the Sakurajima and the Kinko-bay. We also love the esthetics of the Gust House.

“Amazing picturesque stay!”

Incredible place with crazy decor, view of the volcano and ocean. It was a self check-in but we had a question about leaving our luggage after check out and a really nice person immediately answered the phone on the number provided and could speak english. Amazing communal lounge, 7-11 just round the corner.

really nice interior, it has a great vibe! staff was very nice and responsive per message, we didnt actually meet but it all works. the beach infront and the common lounge area are really cool with a great view of sakurajima!

The view is amazing, as pictured. It is very close to the famous gardens. A convenience store is nearby. It is close to a JR train station (*). I found the bed extremely comfortable and shared shower / toilet facilities were fine. There was a lovely fragrance in the stairwell 😆. The room is basic but adequate. Aircon is good in warm days / evening. The interior is very unique and warm. There is a beach below the building which is popular.

“Amazing beach view”

I don't know what's wrong with people giving bad reviews to this hostel, it's extremely nice and cozy. Very different to what we experienced in rest of Japan, the lounge with beach/Sakurajima view is by itself worth staying here (woke up early to see sunrise), free coffee and drinks, microwave at disposal. Bathroom, though shared, are also very nice and clean (not many rooms). Check in and check out are done in autonomy. Café closes soon but there is a big 24/4 konbini 2 minutes on foot

Amazing view of sakurajima. It was very clean. Walking distance from sengan-en and if you travel by car it's easy to reach and park next door.

Very nicely designed rooms and hotel, with clean rooms and a very comfortable shared bathroom and toilet. Easy to check in and very nice staff. Great views of the Sakurajima volcano from the shared balcony! There are not many restaurants around the hotel but close to a train station which offers intermittent travel into Kagoshima city centre.
