“Quiet, comfortable apartments, in short walking distance from Kagoshima Chuo station.”
We were arriving early. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from Kagoshima Chuo station on a straight road. I did not find or saw the door code for entrance in my emails, so we were bit clueless but luckily some other people were sitting on ground floor and let us in. Then check-in was easy with the machine at the entrance. But you better check the code in advance. The apartment had all we needed - well equipped. Clean, comfortable, quiet. There was no room service - so don't throw any smelly things into the garbage if you stay for few days.

Experienced problems in checking in. Called call centre- 1st 2 staff - a young lady n man wasn't helpful at all. Couldn't provide help. Fortunately a man with wavy hair gave me clear instructions , step by step to check in. Only checked in after more than 45 min. Very frustrating

The location: Super close to kagoshima chuo station with 7eleven next door and many restaurants in the area. The services: everything needed was there including detergent for clothes. No problems with the self check-in upon arrival. Instructions are very clear.

“A little disappointing as we did not receive the correct room type”
We booked our room and paid for an upgrade to a lager room, but this did not happen. When we alerted the Grand Base that we had not been allocated the room we paid for a superior triple room that sleeps x 5 we were told they did not receive an upgrade from booking.com and that as far as they were concerned, we had been given the correct room. We were told to take it up with booking.com ourselves.
