Overview
Just 10 minutes from JR Kaga-Onsen Train Station on the free shuttle, Rurikoh boasts a 24-hour public bath, sauna, reservable open-air bath and foot baths. Guests at Rurikoh Ryokan sleep in Japanese-style futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. A flat LCD, fridge, air conditioning, electric kettle, yukuta robes, slippers, towels, a hairdryer, and toothbrushes are provided in each room. Rooms have a traditional decor and include an en suite bathroom. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Guests will find a gift shop, a cafe, and karaoke rooms at the property. An outdoor swimming pool is open during the summer months. Free luggage storage and safety deposit boxes are available at the 24-hour front desk. At night, you can watch traditional taiko drums in the lobby. Massage services can be arranged at an additional charge. Guests with a meal plan can enjoy a traditional multi-course meal including local dishes. A Japanese/Western buffet or a Japanese set menu is available for breakfast. Guests with a room only plan cannot dine at the property. Information about restaurants in the area is available at the front desk. Rurikoh can be reached via a 30-minute limited express train ride from JR Kanazawa Station. The nearest airport is Komatsu Airport, a 20-minute drive away. Guests can also arrive from Kyoto Station, a 2-hour train ride from the property. Eihei-ji Temple is a 50-minute drive from Rurikoh. The Historic Villages of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is 2 hours away via car.

“A wonderful stay and a fantastic experience for us as a family. We were very pleased that we stayed in a Japanese style”
We stayed in a suite room with a small onsen which was fantastic. It was a wonderful experience for us to stay in Japanese style accommodation and the outdoor areas were a highlight. The private onsen we hired was clean and well maintained. The hotel had very good facilities and is very modern. The shuttle bus to and from the train station was a nice touch.

“Authentic ryokan with private onsens”
Free shuttle to and from the lodge to Kagaonsen station at select times. Friendly and attentive staff that speak limited English but go out of their way to help. This building is on the older side but is well maintained and has its own charm. Private onsen rooms available to rent for a fee and free public onsen both indoors and outdoors. Come here for a more local ryokan experience with great Japanese hospitality.

“A very relaxing trip.”
My room is spacious and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner (included) are both good. We didn’t use the public onsen because of our tattoos. Private onsen is not bad though.

“Amazing stay, lovely staff and great food.”
Amazing stay, huge rooms! We had a lounge and a separate bedroom as well for our stay. The food was lovely and filled with local specialties. The staff were all warm and welcoming and special shoutout to the front desk staff for helping me recover my left item as well. The onsen is huge and property generally is HUGE. You will not need to leave at all. Highly recommended for a lovely stay in a quiet location.

The outdoor onsen is better than Hatori with beautiful autumn leaves and spacious. Therefore you can skip Hatori and stay at Rurikoh instead. The free snack wholeday was really good with lots of choices. Keep this going.

Staff were really helpful and friendly, explaining everything to us as this was our first experience in an onsen town. The dinner was very big and featured lots of local dishes (great food but very traditional so not to everyone's taste). Overall lots of new experiences and we had a good time.

“Warm welcome”
The hospitality of the staff was amazing. We received the warmest welcome we’ve enjoyed so far during our (month) trip in Japan. Our room was nice and clean and the facilities of the hotel were good. Although the hotel is not brand new, it is very well maintained.

My room is extremely big and new renovated. The food is very fresh , delicous and with huge proportion. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Onsen is super . They provided a frequent shuttle bus pick up. The stay is exceptional. Remarks: this is my 2nd time to stay. You should not miss this hotel. Highly recommend

Nice japanese style room. Room was spacios, well prepared and aquiped. Great and interesting experience. Hotel provides public baths as well as provate bath for 3300 💴. We took a nice private bath. Recomend. As well you can order a massage or use a massage machine. Foot bath are as well very nice. Breakfast was japanese style, quite a good choice. At 21:00 there was a drums performance. There are a free hotel shuttle to take you from station. All in all great experiance.
