Overview
On Lofoten’s rugged coastline just 400 metres from the centre of Kabelvåg fishing village, this hostel has a sauna, BBQ area, laundry facilities and free Wi-Fi. A breakfast buffet is included. Each bright and modern room at Lofoten sommerhotell og vandrerhjem comes with either a private or shared bathroom. Guests have access to shared kitchen facilities with a microwave, and packed lunches can also be purchased on site. A light and spacious lounge with a fireplace is also found at Lofoten Vandrerhjem, and the hostel has a garden looking out onto the sea towards Kabelvåg. The Lofotaquarium and Museum Nord are 2 km from the hostel. The picturesque fishing village of Henningsvær is only 20 minutes’ drive away, while Svolvær with its Hurtigruten terminal is 5 km from the property. Harstad is within 2.5 hours’ drive.

Great location, we had a nice evening walk around the area which is beautiful and very quiet. The Sommer hotel itself is pretty big and spread out, with parking available. Very good breakfast and I loved the fact that we had access to a kitchen and got to make our own dinner and could use the fridge. We had a river view from our room which was nice and the black out curtains worked well.

“A reasonably good place to stay”
A reasonably good place to stay, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a quiet environment. The breakfast was quite good with a decent variety. Staff were polite and check-in was smooth. Overall, a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

Clean and comfortable rooms with daily room service upon request. The common kitchen (4 kitchens!) are very well equipped and super handy! The breakfast was great. The whole area is peaceful. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
