“Beautiful, peaceful and friendly place”

We had an amazing stay here ❤️❤️ absolute bliss for 4 days. The views from all over the property are phenomenal. It’s so quiet and remote and peaceful, with plenty of activities available. (The boat tour and th market were great) There is a big campfire at night for keeping warm. The food is great (order 1.5 hours before you want it!) and Oris, our guide became a friend by the end of our stay. He was so helpful too and made sure we had as much fun as possible.

The place where the resort is located is stunning, you can take beautiful pictures of the sunset and enjoy the beauty of the lake. The staff is gentle and friendly, the girls that working there are so kind and the chef could make delicious dishes. Edward is a beautiful person and his only thing is to take care of you They have a all that you need, also hot water in a while.

The view and the accommodation

This place is a gem. I loved the tranquility and the beautiful views. The team running this place is truly amazing and took great care of me throughout my stay. The meals are cooked fresh and are delicious. Edward, the owner, picked me up and dropped me off again, and also recommended transportation for my onward journey. I would definitely stay here again.

From the moment I made the booking, I already received a warm response from the Edward. He contacted me immediately and made sure my transportation was perfectly arranged. When I arrived in Kabale, he was there waiting for me together with Oris. Such incredibly kind people. They took me to the boat and arranged the boat ride to the beautiful accommodation. Upon arrival, I was welcomed by friendly staff, including the cheerful chef, who cooked an absolutely delicious meal for me — truly the best meal I had in Uganda. I will never forget it. The cottage and the houses are beautifully located with a stunning view over Lake Bunyonyi. The cottages are extremely clean, and the view you have from there is simply amazing. Edward and Oris also took such good care of me on my return journey, making sure I got back safely and helping me throughout my transport and travel. Edward and Oris, people like you are the reason I travel. You are incredibly kind and have truly good hearts. I wish you all the very best, and I enjoyed every single moment of my stay with you. “Hidden gem in Uganda! A+ for service and hospitality”

This place is truly a hidden gem! I stayed 3 days 2 nights, wish I can stay longer. What makes this place so special are the staff. From the manager (pick up me at the town and send to the resort by boat), the boatman, local guide, chef, helper and all in the resort. This resort strategic location is perfect who love quiteness and really into the nature. Trust me once you are here you dont feel like to leave. The staff will serve their best to you with smiling all time. You will feel almost like at home. Thank you so much Nyamunyonyi Lake Resort for your great hospitality. I will definitely come again!

“Outstanding stay by the lake!”

A wonderfull wiev over the lake. We did enjoy the atmosohere by the peacefull place. The food was tasty and healthy. We did prefere the local organic food which was made for us in the restaurant. Also the breakfest was splendid every morning. San was the chef who made tasty vegeterian food for us from local organig ingredients. Peace was the best ever as a waitress, as she was smiling and talking with us . The cottage we had was perfekt with the astonishing wy to the blue lake. We did watch the birds, the stars and we made a wonderfull boattrip on the lake. We had also a trip to a village of pygmis. At the last night we did see a flying star! Then we had the change to hope that we could come back here again! There was also time to make some jogapractising by own. We did read books. We did make meditation daily by ourselves. Also we had time to make watercoulourpainting by us selves of the landscapes. I tried to paint the landscapes which did very much remaind me of William Turners paintings Everything was organaised by a fantastic personal! We were kept so well that it felt almost like at home. The owner Edvard was so kind. He did organise everything for us. It was so nice to visite the pygmivillage and dance with them. Edvard took us to the border of Ruanda. He did help to get trough the formalities. Ores was the excellent guide on our boattrips! Ores took care of telling us how to behave at pygmivillage. He did also tell us very many stories about Uganda. Kampu was the expert to make campfire and drive the motorboat. He was always polite and helpful. Charkotte, the manager, was keeping everything in excellent hands. Always smiling and always helping in everything. With the experiencis of travelling more than hundred countries we do highly recommend this lovely gorgeous place Lake resort! We do both feel like new persons after spending four nights there!! “Incredible service in an outstandingly beautiful location”

An absolutely beautiful location, very peaceful. The staff were incredible and couldn't do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable. From 'Rasta Man' who drove the boat and got us to be where we needed to be, even in the early hours or late at night without complaint, to the chef who made us lovely meals, again to our schedule, the lovely ladies who served our food and cleaned our rooms, the maintainence guy on hand for any tiny hitch, to the boss man Edward, who kept in touch with us all week to assist us in any way he and his team could. Can't recommend highly enough
