Overview
Offering ski-in, ski-out access to Laajavuori Ski Centre, this hostel is 8 minutes’ drive from central Jyväskylä. It offers free WiFi, brightly decorated guest rooms, along with a restaurant and free on-site parking. All the basic rooms at Outdoor Hostel Laajis have access to shared bathroom facilities, a laundry room and a communal kitchenette. Kitchenware and cooking supplies can be borrowed from the restaurant on request. “Affordable accommodation in Jyväskylä”
Tidy,if smallish room with a sink and a small fridge. Toilet and shower in the corridoor. Bed was comfortable. It could possibly get a little stuffy in very hot weather. Not many people,so the night was quiet. The common kitchen was beautifully renowated and well equipped. Free parking, and there was a good bus connection to town.

“Clean and quiet”
The hostel was pretty quiet since it is the off season. It was quiet and with a well stocked kitchen.

“Friendly staff very helpfull.”
It was great that they were flexible with me arriving earlier and option to leave the car at the property as well as having the car there still on the day of the congress I visited when I checked out already in the morning. Nice that there was sauna turn and also option to buy a coffee in the common facilities when the restaurant was no longer open. Great location right next to the cross country skiing tracks. I will book here again when I am visiting Jyväskylä congress next time in winter.

“Perfect location to enjoy a 2 days-trip without car, full of activities in winter”
very clean and comfy rooms, easy access to sauna and to the kitchenette that we used every evening to cook our meal, access to a big smart TV (netflix available) and a sofa that we enjoyed to watch movies, direct access to the rental shop with fat bikes, ski, ... and proximity with the ski station is perfect! Nice trails in the forest to walk all day
