“Never ever will we book a villa with Booking.com again! No guests protection, only hosts protection!”

This property is shockingly misrepresented! We left after 4 days, and will sue Booking.com for the money back. We book this property because: We wanted absolute privacy; we believed we would be the only residents; have internet connection, 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Right after we booked this property (non-refundable), the owner demanded third party liability home insurance. Next 6 months we were trying to reason with this requirement as we didn’t think it was fair to ask more financial commitments on our part without making it clear before booking. The communication with the owner appeared to be very frustrating as she responded after weeks, she completely ignored any other questions and solely focused on our insurance. A week prior to our stay she demanded the insurance per email otherwise we wouldn’t have received the keys to the property. First on our arrival we established that the lady lives not only nearby but directly in the other half of the house. The two bathrooms are en-suit bathrooms, meaning: no privacy for the ones in the bedroom and because both bathrooms have only sliding / hanging doors no privacy for the ones using the bathrooms. We were asked to use only 1 bathroom because of a problem with septic tank, we couldn’t use the bedroom leading to main bathroom because of lack of privacy for everyone, so ended up sleeping only in 2 bedrooms! The 4th bedroom is actually just a porch with an expandable sofa. The property doesn’t have its own internet, the guests are using the internet of the landlady, and the connection is very poor. So I booked a private villa, with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and internet connection and we ended up in the house shared with the owner, no internet connection, 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The problem with septic tank manifested itself in unpleasant odour in the house. So much for house description on Booking.com and the reality. The landlady is a very unpleasant person who is only interested in her financial gain.

Beautiful location and view, next to forest and close to village of Jupilles. Great heated pool, outdoor activities and pool table inside. Air conditioning worked well in the three bedrooms that had a unit. Washer, dryer and dishwasher were appreciated. Plenty of dining space, inside and out.

Ideally situated to visit Le Mans, which was one of the chief reasons for choosing the location. We visited Le Mans 24 hour Museum and track as well as the Museum in town. We walked the historical routes too. The heated swimming pool was magnificent. The spacious grounds allowed for our grandson to run around to his heart's content. The billiard table, table tennis and football nets were much appreciated. The countryside views from the garden were lovely and we all enjoyed the forest walks and the wildlife. There were plenty of seating areas and we enjoyed our al fresco meals cooked on the barbecue. We felt that we were in our own little world. We enjoyed visits to Saumur, to the Troglodyte village and to caves in Saluges. We ate local produce and visited a number of small village markets.
