Beautiful facilities, especially the relaxing lounge with complementary desserts and drinks to enjoy while looking out into the white snow. The onsens are very nice especially the detached outdoor onsen. All staff are lovely and helpful

Traditional ryokan with nice rooms and great public baths. Privat bath experience also impressive. Good food. Many pleasant public spaces for relaxation. Very friendly staff at the dinner.

We loved everything about our stay. From the shuttle bus to the food, everything was exceptional and the staff was very kind and helpful. Very quiet and relaxing room, we fell in love with the view from our private onsen. The book store/library and lounge were much appreciated. Beautiful Jozankei, we will come back.

I like the indoor bath, it was really nice, The staff was great and very helpful. I was able to bord the shuttle early and get to enjoy the onsen more~!

I had the opportunity to experience the Japanese way of life, and the service was excellent. We encountered a loud Chinese tourist, and the staff thoughtfully offered us a quieter area to enjoy. The Ryokan experience was superb, especially the room with a private onsen, providing a perfect opportunity for intimacy with my spouse.

The lounge was roomy and the tea served was great. The best were the massage chairs although they were occupied most of the time by other guests. We only got to use them once in our 3-days' stay. Would be great if there's such a chair in our room. Food was also great.

Nice ambience. Friendly and helpful staff. Lunch and dinner were delicious and well curated by the chief. The staff also took effort to explain the dishes to us in English. The free flow of drinks and snacks were to die for. Overall a good stay and will certainly be back again.

Authentic experience with lovely dinner made by a very kind chef. The private onsen in the room was amazing. The public lounge for drinks and food was spectacular

Everything was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast & dinner were excellent, including the lounge. Free flow sake, beer, juices etc and fingerfood. Onsen too were awesome. Glad we booked this accommodation.

Hotel Suizantei is a beautiful onsen/ryokan. Even though it is an older hotel, it is very well kept. There are several onsen areas for men and women to bath in as well as a private tub on the roof which can be booked for 45-minute sessions. If you are fortunate enough, you can even book a room with it's own onsen tub in the room. Both dinner and breakfast were very well prepared and were very delicious. Before and after each meal, there were beverages and freshly made snacks available in the lounge area. After dinner, they even had beer, sake and other spirits available in the lounge for everyone to enjoy. If we go up to Sapporo again, we will definitely go back to Hotel Suizantei.

Nice environment. Friendly staff though limited in English. But staff had excellent attitude and was attentive. When I asked for having a higher temperature in the bathtub, hotel staff came almost immediately. I had a burnt light bulb and the engineer came within 10min to replace it. Service was very good.

There was always something to eat throughout the day. We were being fed well outside meal times. This is most helpful especially after soaked in hot bath.
