“Overall very comfortable stay for a good value for money”
This hotel is an updated and modernized version of Showa style large scale onsen hotel in the suburbs of Sapporo. Helpful staff, traditional- feel common areas, large onsen, and efficient buffet style dining facility. We chose this place because of its onsen facility and it is not too far from Sapporo Kokusai ski resort. There is a direct bus to and from Sapporo Kokusai operated by a third party bus company, Jotetsu. We had a very good, comfortable and convenient stay, overall.

“Delightful and lovely would love to go back.”
The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the Onsen was large, clean and not too crowded. Initially was a bit worried when the description said shared bathroom, but our room had its own bathroom so not sure what that meant in the description but were delighted that everything was good.

“Worth your money if you can afford it”
Even though a tad expansive, the staff was just marvellous to provide the best (I guess you’re paying for that) Yukatas are available for the guests, so cool for foreigners to wear them The onsen is great also Lastly we got a wonderful gift to our kids before leaving which made the experience even more wonderful

“Great public onsen”
Booked a room with 4 beds and a tatami for 2. Spacious room, nice buffet dinner and breakfast. Onsen facility is good. Free shuttle bus must be booked 2-3 months a head as always fully booked. Easy to take public bus (790Y) from JR Sapporo but the bus is always full. Stood in the bus for 90 minutes. Half way from Sapporo is Fu Snow resort, can get down for a half day ski on your way back to Sapporo. Connected to sister hotel, female sharing sister hotel onsen.

“Being in Jozankei and staying here is definitely one of, if not, the highlight of our Sapporo trip.”
The buffet spread for both dinner and breakfast were excellent. They have noodle/ramen station, sashimi, curry, salad, dessert station. They also have variety of soda and other drinks. Beer and other alcoholic drinks are charged separately but you'll be given a drink coupon for your drinks. And I must say that the seared tuna is a must try. And their onsen is not crowded, an excellent way to end or start your day.

Quite a wide variety for the breakfast and dinner buffet spread. I loved the fact that the hotel is a stone's throw away from the Jozankei Nature Luminaire.

The room is significant in traditional Japanese style, you can enjoy everything you expect from an onsen hotel in Japan. The big onsen is really relaxing especially on a snowy day.

“Not worth a cent to stay in this lapidated hotel”
There was some road work in front of the hotel and hotel provided a shuttle bus from parking to the hotel.
