We spent one night at Lake Lune with my husband and our 5-year-old children. We loved the place, the facilities, and the breakfast. It’s a wonderful spot for a weekend getaway. A special thank you to the owner for being so caring.

“Delightful stopover in a charming home from home”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stopover night at La Lune Lake, on our way to the Vendée, for which it is ideally located. The room itself was spacious and had everything we needed as a family of four to spend a comfortable and peaceful night. What particularly stood out to us was the property's garden. Complete with swings, badminton net, football goal and assorted balls, and of course a scenic lake, it was the perfect space for our children to get some much needed fresh air and exercise after a day in the car. We arrived later than planned so didn't have chance to take advantage of the plunge pool but it looked very inviting! Our hosts were extremely welcoming and relaxed. By pre-arrangement, they served us up a delicious home cooked meal (Normandy pork for three of us, nuggets and chips for our youngest), complete with dessert and a carafe of wine, all at a very reasonable price. It really helped to get us in the holiday spirit, after a fraught morning spent queuing for a ferry. La Lune Lake is a real home from home and we would definitely stay there again. Thank you so much!

They go the extra mile here. A lovely old house with great facilities inc a spotless outdoor pool. The breakfast was perfect. A great place for us to stop off at the start of our tour of Northern France

Lots of things for the kids to do, beautiful lake, pool, the food was gorgeous and plentiful (would recommend eating in), hosts Jo and Gary were very kind and helpful

Lovely location and grounds, fantastic, friendly hosts and wonderful food (home-cooked evening meal). We stopped over on the way from the UK to the Dordogne and it was a great choice, an excellent way to start a holiday.

Our second time staying in a very comfortable BandB close to Le Mans, we are a group of friends travelling to Le Mans for MotoGP. We were delighted to see the same french people we met on our last visit had also returned. The property has ample parking a beautiful garden, pool, lake and outdoor areas for relaxing. The rooms are basic but very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Food is amazing and very reasonably priced and Gary and Jo are brilliant hosts always at hand with helpful directions, tips and good humour.

Everything. Perfect location not far from Le Mans.Exceptional in every way. Fabulous food. The owners had thought of everything. Will definitely stay there again. A hidden gem.

Gary and Jo as always made us welcome and comfortable. The dinners were a tribute to Jo's cooking. Altogether a superb place to stop and get ready for wherever the next leg takes you.

“The best start to our family summer holiday”

We went with our three kids and booked this as a stopover on route further south. Gary and Jo could not have been more accommodating and we relaxed very quickly. I could not fault anything in the stay but I would say the standout things we liked were the friendly and relaxed environment, the food and the comfort of the rooms. Our only regret was that we didn't book to stay a little longer than one night as the kids loved the garden and the pool, we would absolutely recommend as a short break but also to anyone planning to break up a trip to la Rochelle, Bordeaux or those areas.

Fantastic accommodation Friendly hosts Great facilities

Beautiful property in lovely surroundings. Very relaxing, even for a one night stop over. Dinner and breakfast both superb, and Jo and Gary were fantastic hosts. We WILL be back!

This was a lovely place to stop over on the way to the South of France. Our children loved the space to play, and the hosts, Gary and Jo, prepared an amazing meal which was restaurant quality, super value, and meant we didn’t have to go straight out on arrival to find a local restaurant. The family room was very convenient, we will certainly consider returning on our travels next summer.
