It was very quiet and we had a fantastic night's sleep. The location of the property, for us was great.

Suberbly and beautifully located in the picturesque countryside not far from Josselin. Exceptionally friendly hosts and our new best friends Filou and Sheldon, their friendly pooches. A well appointed, clean and comfortable holiday cottage. Stunning gardens, garden furniture, access to local walks, friendly neighbours and we were given free use of the hosts fruit and vegetable garden. :) We were very lucky with the weather and spent most of our evenings on the patio relaxing and enjoying the mild evenings. What was not to like? We will be back. Thank you so much to Richard and Lana, our hosts, who went out of their way to ensure we had all we needed for a lovely family holiday.

Well situated and very peaceful. Hosts Richard and Lana were very welcoming and helpful. Made our stay special 4 km walk into Josselin and the canal. Lots of cycle paths which were clearly marked.

A beautiful spot to stay, if you have a car. The apartment is in the country, horses in the paddock next door. Very quiet and restful, except for my husband's snoring! I would recommend it. Richard and Lana are great hosts.

Friendly welcome, we were on bikes and owners went out of their way to organise provisions and make us feel at home.

A wonderful place in a delightful rural area close to the city of Josselin. We were made very welcome by the delightful couple who own and run this Airbnb and Gitte. Well worth a visit if you are travelling in Brittany.

“A perfect place to decompress and chill out”

We had a fantastic, relaxing time at La Ville de Mainguy. We met Richard and Lana and they were most friendly and welcoming hosts. We also met their well-behaved dogs, Sheldon and Filou who were gorgeous. The 3 bedroomed gite is very close to Josselin, a pretty town and the nearest supermarket is only a few minutes away in the car. This means you can enjoy peace and quiet in acres of land with a nearby wood, or head into the popular town of Josselin for restaurants, bars and a little gift shopping. The Saturday morning market is interesting there, as is the chateau and church. During the heatwave, we appreciated the many trees that provided much needed shade and the gite itself was still pleasantly cool and a perfect retreat when temperatures reached 37°C outside. We were nicely surprised with fresh garden produce too which was absolutely delicious, thanks Lana and Richard.
