The room was comfortable and Hotel Julie is located beautifully in a quiet area close to Joensuu. The breakfast buffet was also excellent.

The hotel has a very appealing period charm, which I liked a lot. Very nice staff. Simply furnished but very comfortable room with balcony. Nice food. Superb value for money. I would be very happy to stay here again.

When you look at the booking, the hotel doesnt look pretty attractive, but it certainly exceeded the rate and our expectation. Again, I agree that the hotel in general needs some renovation, but what comes to the rooms (our was twin with balcony - smoking allowed there), it is absolutely allright: newly renovated bathroom, very comfy beds, and even a big (and silent!) fridge, microwave, coffeemaker (didnt use either, but still). Few people in the hotel, so very quite, as quite as the location - not far from Joensuu, but far enough to be very quite. The bar and restaurant was open until 22:30 (kitchen until 21:00), pretty simple menu, but not overpriced and good food (we took basic burger and chicken basket). Breakfast is very good as well, not Hilton level, but everything from a porridge to eggs, from vegetables and sweets, so no complains at all. For the price we paid, more than perfect (esp. comparing to other hotels nearby).

We travelled with our dog. We got a room next to the night entrance of the hotel and as people used it at night it was very disturbing. The room also was not looking as the rooms in the presentation, this looked like an old storage room quickly equipped with a bed. It had a big mirror setup in the ceiling so it has been used for something else before. Room and hotel in general has probably not seen any repairs since it was built in maybe 80´s.

Clean, comfortable place which is really good for money. Nice place near a beach (500m). The beach was quite crowded.

Excellent location amongst the nature

Stayed with family due to an event. The cottage was exeptional and staff very helpful and friendly.

Silence and nature around. Room was also very quiet.
