Very clean, everything you need for a city break. Located in centre of city and accessible to everything at a short walk

Staff was friendly and helpful at reception. The room was spacious and bathroom clean. There was good breakfast available(payment separately). There was also communal kitchen in each floor which I did not use but would have been good if staying any longer. Hotel location was great, near city center, services and walking distance from train station.

The lovely welcome ftom the receptionist on duty. We got a lovely room on the 3rd floor which a view on the river. Floors have been renovated and each floor has a small kitchen for quests to use. Plates, cups and cutlery to use. Microwave and a fridge. Really handy if you travelled far and like to have a snack. The room was nice and clean as aways. Rooms have had a refit and are fresh and clean and a calm atmosphere. Lincoln and bedding crisp and clean. Beds are great! Good mattress and toppers. Bathroom has a good shower. Toilet and washbasin and a towel rail heater. Hairdryer, kettle, stoneware mugs. Towels nice and soft. Groun floor has a nice area where guests can take complimentary coffee.

A nice place in the city centre, close to everything. Clean, comfortable.

This hotel is our favourite when in Joensuu. Location, rooms, and above all lovely staff, friendly and helpful. The hotel had a refit recently and there are small kitchens on 3 floors. Guests can use the fridge to store their cold drinks. Use crockery and or cutlery. There's a vending machine next to reception on ground floor which came in handy. Especially when one has forgotten to pack the toothbrush and/or toothpaste. As always we purchased breakfast for the next day. The breakfast buffet is very good. Better than before the refit. Beautiful crockery. warm food (scrambled eggs, mini sausages and pancakes) cheeses, turkey, ham, fresh lettuce, fresh tomatoes, watermelon, boiled eggs. Hot drinks, juices, yoghurt, smoothie and ham The only thing I would like to see is that there will be marmalade in addition to the strawberry jam. (I have a strawberries allergy, not the one that gives you rash, no the one that will make me very ill if ingested) Lovely smoothies but of course mixed with strawberries) Also, it would be good to provide trays just to avoid going back and forth at least 3 times before one can start enjoying the breakfast.

We wanted no hassle simple solution to sleep over night during a trip and Greenstar was perfect for that. Very cost effective and clean. Goof to sleep in and the breakfast actually surprised us positively. Reception person was fantastic.

Ecology hotel approach is good, however, on a 31C day (which I know is exceptional), the sleeping is a challenge

The hotel is located in the center of Joensuu. Public free parking is near he hotel from evening until morning, parking at the hotel itself is paid. We have stayed at this hotel several times before. We are satisfied with the location of the hotel, the quality of services and the price.
