“What a beautiful sanctuary….”

Some places give you a bed for the night, others give you a memory you’ll carry long after you’ve left. Daspan House has easily been one of my favourite stays in India so far. This beautifully restored haveli blends traditional Marwari and Rajasthani architecture with elegant colonial-era influences, creating a space that feels both historic and incredibly welcoming for groups and solo travellers alike. What makes it special isn’t just the architecture—it’s the people. And here the atmosphere has attention to detail - the fragrance that drifts through the property, the peaceful courtyards, the evening bell, all make it feel like a sanctuary. Evenings here are particularly magical, with soft lit dinners in the garden, great music in the background in the courtyard and cocktail bar. Travelling during the quieter season has made this experience even more special, and I’m grateful to have discovered a place that captures so much. An absolute gem of a hotel. A perfect little oasis in the residential area of the city and beautifully designed and decorated. The staff were polite, professional and attentive, catering for our every need. The inclusive breakfast was delicious and the restaurant food superb. Absolute best hotel I have ever stayed at! Everything is perfect, the kindest most efficient staff, the hotel itself is beautiful, the service is perfect, I would recommend to anyone, Daspan house is an experience itself, we enjoyed it so much that we did not see much of Jodhpur. The staff were extraordinary, they really made this stay special. We had our train quite late in the evening, they let us have a late check out free of charge and then even permitted us to use the room after check out to take a shower before the train. I have never felt so good in a hotel before, leaving was almost painful!

Such a beautiful heritage property. Very spacious and hidden. Complete privacy and lots of air space and natural sunlight throughout the property. Feels very boutique. Would recommend and return in a heartbeat. Great breakfast too!

Fabulous experience of a Heritage property. Rooms were great and so was the dining experience. Excellent cleanliness, expert service and very tasty food. Would like to acknowledge. Anuj and Shweta at the front office along with Suman and Abhishek. Subhash, Madhu, Nisha, Dilip at the restaurant. One of the captains of the restaurant was kind enough to tell us the history of the place and about the duo currently running the place. Mr Siddarth Daspan and Mr Varun Jhalan are running an excellent institution.
