We loved the friendliness of the staff and how accomodating they were; the day we arrived our national team was playing a football game, so the renewed the subscription so that we can watch it. That was really kind of them! Also, they were constantly checking on us on whatsapp to ensure that we are comfortable :) The place is very clean and food was super!

This is a really nice place. The breakfast was great, staff friendly, super view over the lack, good wifi and not too far from town.

“Short, sweet and as hoped”

Exactly what was advertised; a boutique bed and breakfast. Bed was extremely comfortable and a nice room with a hot shower. Breakfast was exceptional, fully recommend the rollex - it was nearly as good as my Mrs’ 😉 Great location away from main drag near the water.

“Excellent hotel, excellent staff - highly recommended”

We loved the Jewel and the Lake. Friendly, efficient staff who went the extra mile to help us. The hotel was spotless and very comfortable; the food was excellent. It was easy to arrange boat trips and the hotel also organised a car for us back to the airport. I would stay there again and would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Jinja.

“Comfortable and welcoming stay”

Quiet location on Lake Victoria with beautifully decorated rooms and plenty of space to relax on the verandah or sitting room. Nothing was too much trouble - washing, helping to clean our muddy boots and preparing delicious breakfasts. Also had a great dinner here one night. Walking distance to the Sailing Club just up the street. James was a welcoming and friendly host. Rooms are large and very clean. Will stay again when in Jinja.

I had a wonderful stay! The staff were extremely helpful, the hosts were kind and welcoming, and everything was very clean and well organized. They were also very flexible and made sure I felt comfortable throughout my stay. Highly recommended!

Everything was more than we expected. The host was great and helpful, we were running late because of the traffic and he waited for us. Breakfast was so delicious and huge portions. Small sitting area around fire pit is ideal for evening drinks. All in all best stay during our Ugandan trip. Thank you.

A very friendly owner and the entire staff. Excellent breakfast (both option-wise and taste-wise). The upgraded room alloted to us was huge and very comfortable. View from the room (balcony) was very soothing and my only regret is that I could not stay longer. This property deserves a weekend stay because of the peace and quiet it offers.
