Very well located and a great price for comfortable accommodation

“Great hotel in Amber Court”

The boss, Franklin, was an excellent host. Rest of staff gave true Ugandan hospitality. Room good value for money. It even has a bath! Breakfast was generous. Location was good as it's near restaurants and transport links of Amber Court.

Very nice please and affordable in comparison to other hotels in the Jinja tourist trap. The rooms are clean, there is great hot water to shower, good breakfast included. Doreen, the receptionist is also very kind and understanding. We had some issues with booking our bus tickets and allowed us to keep our belongings in the room for a little longer until we managed to sort out everything. She also brought a kettle to the room and coffee when I mentioned I like to have coffee as soon as I wake up. The location is also good. The minivans that come from Kampala drop you right at the Amber Court round about and the buses leaving for Nairobi are also close by at the other roundabout. It was also quiet in the night. Not many other guests in the weekdays.

This is THE place for the breathtaking views over the surroundings. For this sake opt for upper floors however.

Extraordinarily friendly staff! I booked very last minute on a bicycle journey and could leave my bike in a save indoor space. Great view from the balcony, much calmer than the surrounding suggests at first! Tasty breakfast too, definitely a great price for what you get.

Doreen was a very nice host! She makes a lot of effort and is always there. The room+bathroom and whole hotel was incredibly clean! Really the cleanest hotel we've stayed in Uganda. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Location was also fine, peaceful area with a great view and close to Java House

Perfect for a quite stay..The hotel is a little away from the centre of Jinja, but don't be put of by that. My room was clean and comfortable, rooftop terrace perfect spot for a beer, and the food was great..

The employee running the place (Doreen) and the owner are really friendly and help you out with any question. It is a beautiful compound and building where you feel secure and at home. While it was stated that there was no wifi, they do provide wifi in a common part of the building. They have a restaurant with delicious dishes. Don't forget to make a reservation in advance!
