NOTHING LIKE AN IHCL (TAJ) PROPERTY One of the reasons I booked this place was the IHCL (Indian Hotels – TAJ) badge on it. Sadly, on this count it fails miserably and quite literally on all fronts. Let’s start with the room 1. The bed is creaky. 2. The heat convector was old, it was noisy and had so much vibration that it changed direction (danced), travelled a good 10 – 12 inches by itself. And of course it did not heat. This was eventually changed for a working one. 3. The Electric Kettle in the room did not trip when the water got heated. When a change was requested, they informed that ALL are like that only. 4. Most TV channels are NOT subscribed to. 5. The mini refrigerator in the room was dysfunctional. 6. The bin in washroom has a pedal to lift the lid but the mechanism does not work. Trying to lift by hand to leave it open also did not work. See my video / photo of this. 7. The health faucet attached to the WC leaks water from its joints. 8. The hand shower in the bath area is missing from the tap as a result the water falls on the wall instead of into the bucket. A criminal waste of hot water. Use of a bucket is highly advisable here during the winters as the hot water is provided via a 25 Liters Geyser and is likely to run cold if you are taking a shower. See video of the missing hand shower. 9. The door locks are the old type of locks which are fixed on a latch. Which is fine but the issue is the very heavy Key chain and key that you need to carry around. 10. There is a considerable traffic noise, though online photos give the impression of this being a peaceful and quiet place, it isn’t. 11. Wi-Fi password will be provided to you but it does NOT work inside the room and even outside it is painfully slow. Staff Though nice and courteous they are certainly not TAJ trained. Restaurant and Food Yet another big issue, the only thing that they can cook properly is Indian food. continental and Chinese food on the menu but try it at your own risk.

We booked a room for a night through the booking.com, there was some miss communication between hotel and aggregator resulting in some confusion during checkin. But Front desk staff, specially Property Manager - Mr Ajay tried its best and resolve the issue and done his all best to make our stay comfortable. 1. Nice small resort type property with 80% green area surrounded by small hills. I 2. We had 3 meals in this property and trust me you get what you expect. The food and restaurant staff is really good. 3. Room & Bathroom both are spacious and well maintained and seating area infront is also a treat for your eyes. 4. Nice puppet show in evening, kids will love it.
