Located less then 100 metres from the Damascus Gate, one of the most famous entrances to Jerusalem's Old City, Palm Hostel offers free Wi-Fi. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Dome of the Rock and the Western Wall are a short walk away. Great value for the price. The hostel is a bit old but everything works, the staff is hospitable. I booked for a bed in a mixed room and I was given a private one, which was great. (Special thanks to Bonnie the cat, who guards the entrance)

“So much potential, but not yet realized”
Well, the location was great. The common area was nice as well. The owner was a great and helpful guy, but the rest of the staff sucked. Terrible communication and I felt like I was bothering them with my presence. Nice view from the rooftop but nowhere to sit without getting your clothes covered in dust. All kinds of junk taking up space on the roof. So much potential but not yet realized. The floors were consistently wet with runoff from the shower area.
