Noor was a superstar and very helpful. Walked me to his recommended restaurant, upgraded room, and went above and beyond to be helpful. Wonderful stay in an absolutely fantastic location. Highly recommended for a Jerusalem Holy Land stay.

“Wonderful haven”
Jaffa Gate Hostel is is a charming old building down a quiet alley. Its situation on the edge of the Old City is perfect. It's great value for money, but the real attraction are the hosts. Asim and Nur could not have been more friendly and helpful.

I had a wonderful experience staying here! The host brothers were incredibly kind and helpful, even before my trip started. The first night, the light in my room unexpectedly went out around 3 a.m., but he showed up right away and fixed it—such amazing service! The location is perfect—you can walk everywhere in the Old City Jerusalem and the area feels very safe. If you’re not specifically looking for a luxury stay, I absolutely recommend this place

A clean, beautiful hostel with a simply unbeatable location in the Old City. The owners Asim and Nur are the most incredibly kind and hospitable people you will ever come across. I have stayed in hundreds of different places in nearly 60 different countries, and I have never felt more at home anywhere. They helped me with things without me even asking, and always went out of their way to make me feel like they were my own family. A stunning hostel in one of the world's greatest cities, I would never stay anywhere else in Jerusalem.

“A peaceful gem in Jerusalem’s Old City – historic charm, rooftop views, and heartfelt hospitality.”
After many travels that I experienced, this was quite an outstanding stay. First, you’re in the heart of Jerusalem’s historic Old City, close to everything but in a quiet little private alley. The rooftop is above most of the others around, so it’s worth for the phantastic view already, I spent hours up there. The rooms are comfy and individual, you’re surrounded by 600 years old stone, which might be chilly during the cold season (but there are enough blankets and AC), but I imagine it’s the best place to be during hot summers. And then there are the owners. It’s a family that has been running this place for 50 years, now two brothers who are quite caring and make you feel instantly at home. They provide an endless number of tips and advice and are always open for interesting discussions. Alcohol is strictly forbidden, but other than that everything is very open. There were Jews, Muslims, Christians and everything else, and everybody was very welcome. Like a melting pot of friendly human beings - the way it should be everywhere, but unfortunately, it’s not these times. In short, I’d love to come back anytime and can warmly recommend this place. Thank you for everything!
