Don Juan Carlos is great host very personal and attentive.

The place is amazing! Close enough to walk to town and at the same time you're in nature with beautiful views on the mountains. Juan Carlos is very friendly and checked in with us regularly if everything was ok or if we needed something. He gave us an upgrade to a beautiful room with a balcony. Breakfast is different every day and delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

The service, the views, the breakfast anf most of all the owners! Juan even moved me to a nicer room for one night free of charge.

Lovely house at 10 to 15 minutes walk to the center (all the city is very safe, no problem to walk around even by night). The Colombian breakfast was good and Juan, the owner, was really friendly. He upgraded us to a nice room with balcony, which was a lovely surprise. Wonderful view from the balcony or the terrasse, and cute cats, dogs, chickens and more around! Very calm at night.

It’s a beautiful house with a beautiful view. Juan Carlos and his employees are very nice and helpful. The hotel is a bit further away from the main square, which makes for a quiet night. The shower was nice and hot. And breakfast was generous.

The owner, Juan Carlos, treats you like family, and it definitely feels like a home away from home. Trust his recommendations on the best places to eat, and great places to visit and things to do around town, you won't be disappointed. The place itself is fantastic, I recommend getting one of the balcony rooms because the view is just fantastic. Because it's on the edge of town, it's also considerably quieter and more peaceful than would be the case if you stay further in town. It's only a 10 minute walk into the centre of town, or you can pay 5,000 pesos for a tuk tuk, though the walk is quite nice, and it's totally safe, even at night. Generally the whole of Jerico is incredibly safe even by Western standards, even at night. Other things people from overseas will appreciate about the place is that the showers have plenty of hot water and the wifi connection is solid, even enough to do video conferencing calls if you're working remotely. The breakfasts are delicious, there's a little corner store next door if you need any basic groceries. The beds are plenty comfortable, and if you close the windows, you get almost total light block-out, so you can sleep in easily if you feel like it. You can organise horse rides from the property, or visits to nearby fincas. It's kind of nice to feed all the geese and turkeys and chickens in the morning. There are a couple of dogs and cats too, which if you're travelling as a family, will no doubt keep the kids happy. But the best thing about the place is the host, who speaks perfect English, is incredibly friendly, and is almost always available, so if you need something or have questions, you can get instant assistance. I'd recommend messaging him before you arrive because even if you feel like getting a private driver from medellin, he'll be able to organise everything for you.
