This property, 1 km from the town of Jelling, is less than 200 metres from Fårup Lake. It offers rooms with a private terrace and free parking in front of the door. Situated in a separate building, all guest rooms at Skovdal Kro feature a flat-screen TV, work desk and private bathroom with shower.Some rooms have lake views. A seasonal menu of Danish and international cuisine is served at the in-house restaurant. Lake views can be enjoyed from both the restaurant and Skovdal Kro’s furnished garden. The surrounding nature provides nice hiking and fishing opportunities. Staff will gladly assist with boat rentals and excursions on the Jelling Orm Viking ship during the summer. Overlooking a lake in the Danish countryside, really good locally sourced food (and very decently priced), big bedroom with sofa, terrace and chairs, kettle and coffee. Very good Scandi breakfast - cereals, yoghurt, cold meats, eggs and fresh hot bread.

“Amazing place with excellent food and lake view”
Everything you want to have while visiting Denmark. You get to live near the historical Jelling town, with close access to Legoland by car, and enjoy the lake front view. As it happens, the place has a gourmet restaurant (not too pricey), which is apparently loved by locals in dinner evenings. You should definitely try the pork chop from their menu. The room prices are about as twice as low as in the area of Legoland, includes free breakfast, nevertheless, the place is thoroughly supervised and clean. All the personnel are very friendly, professional and helpful. One should definitely consider renting a car in Billund airport and staying here instead of living near the Legoland.

Location nearby the lake and nearby the center of Jelling. Nice view from the restaurant on the lake. Quiet environment surrounded by nature. Possibility to park the car in front of the rooms (for free). Good restaurant: good basic breakfast, nice menu for diner.

One level where we could park the car right in front of our room door and bring in luggage without difficulty especially for getting ready to fly the next day. Peaceful outside patio in the back of the room. Simple, clean, good breakfast, and nice hot water shower in a private bathroom.

Very clean property. Great WiFi, used my Fire Stick to stream. Had breakfast once. Host very pleasant and the setting is awesome. Across the road is a lake which you can walk around.
