I was genuinely impressed by the accommodation and felt it was very inviting and comfortable. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with delightful chocolates and coffee sachets. The accommodation had everything we needed, creating a homely atmosphere in a tranquil setting. It was a very secluded and peaceful place, perfect for unwinding. The shops were conveniently within walking distance, along with fishing spots and restaurants on the main road. I was reluctant to leave.

“It was a brilliant stay”
It is not often that you arrive at your destination and it delivers more than you expected. Our stay at the Owl House in Jeffrey’s Bay did exactly that. When we travel, we have learnt to take a few extra things with us just in case. Extra towels, a portable TV, a portable stove, a cooler box with ice, extra tea and coffee, cutlery and other basics. We have become used to self catering places sometimes having very little. That was definitely not the case at the Owl House. The kitchen is fully kitted out with a gas stove, a proper Smeg kettle, and a full sized fridge that easily accommodated everything we bought. There is a cupboard full of towels, a TV with all the premium channels, and even water bottles that Alan kindly refilled whenever we needed. In fact, we only left the unit once, on the day we arrived, just to stock up on groceries to fill the fridge. After that we simply enjoyed the quiet and the tranquility of the space. Alan and Esme were wonderful hosts and made the stay even more special. We cannot wait to be back again.

This accommodation was outstanding. The attention to detail, location, comfort, cleanliness, privacy, garden, parking area, BBQ facility and WiFi were faultless. From board games to toiletries, complimentary cake, rusks, fresh coffee, tea, chocolate and digital TV , everything had been carefully provided with the guest experience at the forefront by friendly, welcoming and considerate hosts, who were there if needed but did not intrude. In over forty years of travel, and hotel managers by profession we found the Owls House to be one of the very best accommodations we have had the pleasure to stay in. Highly recommended and we very much hope to return for a longer stay. Thank you Esme and Alan!

A home away from home. Decent appliances and utilities in the kitchen. More than enough towels and blankets. Huge fridge/freezer. Small touches like various coffees, soap, sprays and smellies throughout the place.
