It's in an urban area but right next to a public cafe park with seating areas to relax and enjoy a coffee. It can be a bit noisy in the evening but very quiet at night to get a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed. The kitchen has a washing machine and there's a washing line on the roof which was very useful. It's a large spacious apartment with tv area and dining table. Large separate shower area meant no wet floor near sink or toilet. The breakfast was omelette, salad with bread and tea which was adequate for me but I had my own coffee. Also allowed to leave my cycle in the safe entrance area under the stairs.

I totally recommend the Ahmed family’s place to anyone traveling to Luxor! It was hands down the hidden gem of our trip to Egypt. Those moments turned out to be the warmest memories of our entire journey. The location here is absolutely unbeatable. It’s right next to the Nile River, and you can walk to the Luxor Temple in just a few minutes. What’s more, there’s a police station and a big supermarket nearby, so you never have to worry about safety, and grabbing drinking water, snacks or any travel essentials is convenient. The guesthouse is tucked away in a quiet little alley, the one with the WE store – just follow your GPS and you won’t get lost at all. If you do happen to lose your way though, just give the host a call, and before you know it, you’ll see some adorable little figures bouncing over to pick you up. The rooms are spacious, clean, and fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Every morning, the host whips up a hearty, delicious breakfast, paired with a cup of authentic Egyptian tea to kick off your day with full energy. The lady of the house is an amazing cook – you definitely have to try her food if you get the chance! But what really won our hearts was the Ahmed family’s warmth and friendliness. The handsome eldest son would offer to help us plan our itineraries, the cute little youngest son was always chasing us around to share his toys, and the lively twin sisters loved telling us all sorts of fun stories. Every night after a long day of sightseeing, we’d sit together and chat in that cozy, homely courtyard. It felt just like coming home – warm and comfortable. Those three days flew by in a flash, but the warmth of the Ahmed family left a deep, lasting impression on us. If we ever come back to Luxor, this place will definitely be our first and only choice! “Warm and welcoming guest house”

The guesthouse is run by a arm and a welcoming family, who were kind and nice in all the interactions. The house itself was big , nice and comfortable- I was travelling solo . It has all the basic amenities

The owners live next door and are very friendly and help with everything. They are very well connected and can take you on a ride with their boat or help with any questions

Very nice, helpful and welcoming hosts. Good English speaking, no communication problems at all. Quite good location, not far from railway station and even closer to Nile pathway. Hosts offered taxi service to get to the main historical attractions as well to the airport. Very useful feature there. Very clean apartment. Good breakfast.

If you want to feel at home, this is the right place. The flat was comfortable, offering a lot of space. Ahmad’s family will make you feel so welcome, it will be difficult to say bye. Breakfast was very good, made by amazing Sabrin, she was so nice she offered us tea (very tasty) all the time. Ahmad was amazing, we trusted him completely with our trip. He organised for us a trip all around Luxor (Valley of the Kings, Memnone Colossus, Hascheputs, Medinat Habu, Alabaster Market, Karnak Temple) better than the ones you see in other companies and for a very convenient price. We thank Karim, our amazing driver who had a lot of patience with us and made the day trip go smooth. Ahmad also helped us also with our transports, from the airport and also going to Aswan. Don’t hesitate to ask him cause he is very kind, amicable and helpful. Last but not least, we want to thank Mahmoud, best guide in town who listened to our requests very carefully and was able to make everything we wanted and more, possible. We thank all the family for the hospitality, and send a big hug to everyone (especially to the fashion girls twins and the lively Umar)!

Spacious apartment with seperate bedroom, bathroom, large lounge with kitchen. In a quiet location but nearby main shopping street and 10 minute walk to the corniche.

“Wonderful family run apartment in Luxor”

First the location: it's around the corner from supermarkets, a restaurant and not too far walking from the Nile promenade. Also the street is guarded by a police checkpoint so it's very safe and the people of the neighborhood are kind and helpful. Secondly the apartment was very clean and spacious and the beds were very comfortable with air conditioning and fan to choose from. The kitchen had everything necessary and it had also a dinner table. The bathroom (also spotless) was very big, with good shower pressure and hot water + the towels were of good quality. Thirdly the food for breakfast was good and if you like Sabrina will cook an affordable lunch or dinner: it was a very nice traditional homemade meal worth trying. Last and most importantly the whole family were good hard working delightful people who treated me extremely well and got me excellent prices for the hot air balloon, the papyrus as well as the motorized faluca (sailing wasn't possible due to the lack of wind) at sunset which was wonderful. It was fun to share with the girls and Omar but specially with Sabrina from girl to girl.

Thank the host family for their hospitality. When you sit in their house and chat with them over a cup of tea, it is very much like going to your relatives' house for the night. I mean, it's good. It makes you feel intimate in a foreign country. They offer high quality and affordable services such as boat rentals, taxis and dinners. The apartment is large and clean. There are supermarkets, cafes and restaurants nearby. Luxor Temple is a 10-minute walk away.

This property is perfect and I am glad that I book this one so I got to know Mahamoud and his family. They treat me so nice with a very very good breakfast. The mom and her children were so nice and we had great conversation. The room is clean, warm and have all the equipments for living. And Mahamoud’s father also offers flyer at price for boat on Nile and a-whole-day rent for car in Luxor. It was a great experience and I strongly recommend you to book it;)

The host lives next door so was always available whenever we needed something. Location was good as it was little further from the noisy areas. It was close to the areas where locals shop so no need to haggle there as it's fixed price there. The apartment co es with a living room, kitchen , toilet and bedroom.
