“An experience you must try!”

What a wonderful place. Imagine staying in a french farmhouse in 1890 and you'll be close. Ok, it has its foibles but its great experience. The bed was VERY comfy and at night, it was totally silent. The lady owner speaks a little English and she is so helpful and friendly Thank you! :)

We have stayed here before and really appreciate the owner's friendliness and the artistic decor. We like the rural location and it was wonderful to see the Milky Way on a clear night and to hear owls hooting. It was great to be welcomed with a cup of tea whenever we arrived back from a day out. Madame made us feel very much at home and we definitely hope to return.

Beautiful and interesting house with a very warm and welcoming host. We were offered a free upgrade, so we felt very lucky. Bed was extremely comfortable and we were sad to leave. Excellent breakfast surrounded by Genevieve’s lovely plants and antiques

Lovely old french house in a lovely quiet location. The owner was very friendly, giving me directions to a fabulous restaurant on the evening of my arrival. After sleeping soundly breakfast was fresh and delicious.

We loved our stay at La Mesnagerie. It is brimming with character and old time charm. The host was warm and welcoming and the array of homemade jams for breakfast was wonderful.

We loved La Mesnagerie. The hostess greeted us by offering us a cup of tea - quite unusual in France and very welcome. The property was lovely - it is quite old and has an almost magical feel, with lots of attractive ornaments, furniture and artwork. We enjoyed having breakfast round the table with other guests and the little touches like the home made jam. Our bed was very comfortable and overall we found the whole experience charming. We definitely hope to visit again.

Our host was a very warm and interesting lady who had spent all her life in the house . The breakfast was sufficient for us and there was more on offer if required. We loved the location and quietness of the surrounding countryside.

I just loved the history of the place, the lush diverse plants in the garden, the sounds of nature that you could hear. The whole place was out of a fairytale book, the bed was comfortable and the place just has so much charm. Breakfast was lovely. Homemade jam (the banana and kiwi some yum) with pastries and a delicious omelette too! Coffee served French style, in a bowl! The host was so friendly and welcomed you with warmness and was happy to help with any requests we had. Dog friendly! My dog loved it here as well. A tranquil oasis.

“Romantic authentic farmhouse”

An authentic farmhouse, with a big garden, the only thing you hear are the birds singing. A very kind hostess, she makes you feel welcome and at home. Very nice breakfast with home made marmalade, sourdough bread and croissants.

we would have preferred a cooked breakfast, and would have paid for it in addition, but it was a really lovely property and the hostess was so kind and very welcoming.
