This hotel looks terrible. Upon arrival, I was informed that there was water damage in the apartment I had booked. Unfortunately, I have experienced this kind of situation many times in the Dominican Republic. I was then moved to another hotel directly across the street, which had little to nothing in common with what I had booked. There was no nice view or balcony, which I had especially been looking forward to. When I asked about my options, I was simply told that if I wasn’t satisfied, they could cancel my booking. I find this kind of behavior unacceptable from a service provider. I would strongly recommend asking in advance exactly what accommodation you will receive.

Spacious apartment in a quiet area, close to shops and restaurants

Beautiful apartment located in a quiet area, 15 min walk from the city center. All the comodities are present, for cooking, washing... There is a TV with Nerflix, which is great. The woman in charge of the keys lives upstairs and she's very nice and reactive. There is a fruit and vegetable market close to the apartment.

“Excellent value apartment in Jarabacoa”

Excellent value apartment around 15 minutes' walk from the centre of Jarabacoa. The owner, Rosy, is extremely helpful, we were lucky to be able to check in a couple of hours early when the key was handed to us; Rosy also responds very quickly to queries via Booking.com or on WhatsApp and provided details of taxi drivers to take us around the surrounding area which is very beautiful. Our apartment was large with two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it had the facilities we required. WiFi was good.

Communication with the host was great, she is very helpful and kind.

Room was nice and clean, worth the stay. Also one thing, not concerning the stay, but it should be said. We had a problem with our rented car and Rossy and her brother in law were extremely helpful. They helped us with contacting the locals and arranging the repairs.

“This place really lives up to the name”

This place really lived up to its name. The first impression was allready great. The location is very pleasent and peaceful. The 10-15 minutes walk from the center is more then worth it. Rosie paid us a warm welcome and supported us along our stay. We really took a lot of her attention, but she always helped with a smile. You will hardly find a better host in jarabacoa (or anywhere, for that matter). Next, the appartement. It was huge, clean and well equipped. It comes with its own terrace, a large living room, complete kitchen and two bedrooms. WiFi is free and even Netflix is included. All that for a more then reasonable price. We had an amazing time in jarabacoa, not least thanks to Rosie and oasis de Paz.
