“Zanzistar was an amazing place to stay!”

Zanzistar was an amazing place to stay! Location was wonderful, as it's right on the beach. The pool was also delightful, and my room was very spacious and comfortable. I loved the food, and especially enjoyed hanging out at the beach bar in the afternoons. Staff are really wonderful, friendly and were very accommodating about all the tours I wanted to do. I would highly recommend!

Hard to say. Staff tried to do their best but could not really made our stay comfortable, even if the manager offered us to get shower in a different room as we could not use ours. Nice housekeeping team I really appreciate the free breakfast offered by the manager due to issues we had with our room. breakfast was not included in our original booking

Zanzistar Lodge is a lovely hidden gem in Jambiani. It is quiet and laidback. I loved to relax in their leafy garden with swimming pool and have a drink at their beachbar across the street. Their staff is very friendly and the room had A/C. I also enjoyed the breakfast. Would definitely recommend staying at Zanzistar Lodge for its good vibes.

“Warm and welcoming”

This was an exceptional stay. I arrived tired from the flight, my bags hadn't arrived. The staff made me feel very welcome, gave me coffee, got my room ready ahead of check-in time. I felt like I was being welcomed home and instantly felt much better. Peter, on my behalf and without me having asked, kept calling the airline to get an update on my bags and then informed me when they would arrive. The room was excellent with my own little courtyard and the turn-down service was an unexpected treat. Special mention to Dean who made me feel very welcome at the beach bar. I would go on to stay at much more expensive places during my time in Zanzibar, but this place was the highlight.

A perfect stay in Jambiani. The staff was extremely helpful and flexible with everything, the premises really cute and well thought, room clean and well equipped for a tropical destination, breakfast good. The location is also wonderful, a little sanctuary hidden just behind the beach and surrounded by lush greenery that kept the harsh wind away – but only literally a short step away from the beachside. Thank you so much for everything. Highly recommend :)

First of all the food was really amazing: a mix of the Italian touch and local taste. All the staff make our stay wonderful! The bar close to the beach is very nice and relaxing

Main site is tucked maybe 50 metres off the beach, with the hotel bar actually on it. Really friendly staff (owner tracked down a bar for me showing the premier league!) and idyllic. Obviously reasonably basic facilities but very comfortable and clean

Such a beautiful place and wondeful ambiance, welcoming and friendly staff, lovely room with amazing beds and a good shower (water pressure). Nice variety and delicious food also!

Lovely and relaxing. Small boutique place. Each room had its own hammock. The banana garden restaurant had a lovely vibe and we loved the beach shack. Would recommend

“Lovely cute stay”

The staff were very kind, friendly and helpful. The bed was nice and big and comfy! The evening mosquito net turn down service was unnecessary for us but very thoughtful. Grateful for the dustpan and brush, and foot bath at the door. Thank you to Roger and it was also nice to meet Peter 💕

Everything about this place

Told the manager my wife was bitten by bedbugs during our stay, and he insinuated that we made it up or was an allergy... As such I'm posting the photos here. Also the lodge doesn't look like the pictures, and the mattress gave us back aches. We left early.

Amazing very caring and friendly staff, very good cook (and I'm a french picky person), good vibe and nice beach bar.

Zanzistar is located in one of the most beautiful beaches in the island, far from the chaos in the north part. The hotel is located just a few steps from the beach and has a great relaxing vibe. The common area is super comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was very good always with an option of a local dish. Staff was very careful and Peter, the owner, was of great help suggesting some things to do around the island during our stay. They have a cathalog full of suggestions as well and can book it directly for you. Our stay was amazing! Super recommended!

Quaint, rustic not a chain hotel. Beautiful beach reached by a path in front of the hotel to a beach bar with good wifi. Clean pleasant helpful owner
