It was a very relaxing & calm environment. The beach by this hotel was the best I’ve ever had a swim in, could not get enough. Our room was on the beach, so the vibe was just too nice. The staff were quite hospitable & kind. The hotel itself really went out of their way to spoil us as they knew we were on honeymoon, with a complimentary water activity & romantic dinner. They even attended to me personally after an injury, which was most certainly appreciated.

The hotel is located in a peaceful area between two villages, right on a sandy beach. It offers plenty of spaces to relax, several swimming pools, and a nice bar. The rooms are very spacious; we had a sea view and absolutely loved our room, complete with an outside patio and a hammock for ultimate relaxation. The food was fantastic—delicious with a great variety to choose from on the menu.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is beautifully situated right on the beach. We stayed in an ocean front suite right on the beach by the jungle pool, which was fantastic.The restaurant serves great food with a huge variety of options, and all of the staff were so welcoming and helpful. This resort really feels like an oasis away from the crowds. Incredible sunrises and crystal clear waters. It is a great alternative from Nungwi and one for those who want to truly chill out and live the beach life. We would love to come back!

Absolutely the best place to stay in Zanzibar. The situation close to the best things if you want to day trip but with the most superb beach - not just outside your hotel as so often the case but the whole length through the northern part of the very long village- our plans to do activities and do some work from home failed! We had 6 wonderfully relaxing days eating at various beach side restaurants in the evening and watching the locals play football The deluxe sea view room 31 was literally on the beach with fab outdoor and indoor shower. All immaculate. We never made it to all. The outdoor pools. It never felt crowded even on a BH weekend. The staff are lovely.

The facilities of the hotel was way better than our expectations. The restaurant and the food was OK, there were many options that we can choose from. It was a safe and tranquil vacation for us.

This is the perfect spot to enjoy the sea, the beach and have a quiet retreat from busy Zanzibar stone town. The facilities offers all you would want, the sea is at your feet, the sceneries during the days at the beach with merchants and tourists walking could keep you awake as a dream passing in front of you. The area is extremely quiet, clean and the services from breakfast to dinner is high quality and standard. In the bungalow I had all I needed, the only think I missed was a small refrigerator to keep my bottle of water cold.

The staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful. All pur requests were met in a timely manner. The property is quite big for the amount of rooms so even if it’s full, you don’t feel it’s crowded. The room is very comfortable, nice design, with all the amenities needed. The food was great, lots of options and everything we tried was delicious.

It was really like an oasis at the beach. The accommodation was clean and the bed really comfortable and big. We got our room cleaned twice a day : one in the morning and one in the evening to make sure to disinfect the potential insects. I liked to find our room completely clean and tidy. The rooms were ideally furnished and the aesthetic uncluttered. We chose a room with a view on the ocean and with an outside showers, which was ideal. Moreover, the hotel has a restaurant that serves really good food and the staff is always friendly and caring about guests. On the last night, we got the chance to eat under a romantic gazebo that the staff had prepared for our last honeymoon night there. Everybody really took care of us and we really appreciated that.

“Wonderful stay in green paradise”

We absolutely loved our stay in Sharazad Oasis Retreat. The location is amazing, in a quiet and naturally beautiful spot, simultaneously by the sea and in the middle of biodiverse greenery, with many native trees and with red colobus monkeys passing by every day. The houses are very comfortable, cosy and pretty, designed using natural materials. There is no aircon but we did not feel too hot even during the hottest days, instead it was really pleasant to enjoy the natural air flow from the sea. The staff is really kind and helpful. The facilities are great. We particularly enjoyed the jungle pool. The food was very nice, including the breakfast. We would particularly recommend the Vietnamese restaurant, which is partly part of the hotel, absolutely delicious! The excursions we organised via the hotel were good, especially the spice farm, and we also enjoyed relaxing massages in the Naru Spa. All in all, a much recommended choice for a sustainable higher end stay! Not sure that there are many similarly amazing places to stay left in Zanzibar.

A beautiful resort with nice bungalows and an amazing vitnamese restaurant. Monkeys playing in front of the room was definitivly our highlight.

Beautiful location, bedroom was spotless and the outdoor private shower was amazing. Breakfasts were also very delicious and the staff very kindly treated me to a birthday fruit platter and juice.
