The houses are surrounded by lush tropical greenery and are absolutely beautiful. There are two lovely swimming pools, and the entire place has a peaceful atmosphere. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, especially Aisha, who is warm-hearted, always smiling, and genuinely eager to help. She made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay.

As a self catering enthusiast Nymbani was a gem of a find, meticulously managed by the owners and the staff with all the necessary catering equipment required to take care of your own culinary needs while being ideally situated close enough to the beach and restaurants should you wish to take a break from catering for yourself and breakfast is provided.

A tropical oasis! We absolutely loved our stay here, Paola, Fatuma and the rest of the team are so lovely and welcoming. Our room was fantastic, really spacious, comfortable and clean. A great location with only a few minutes to walk to the beach where bars and restaurants are nearby. There are 2 pools and the landscaping gives it a real jungle feel. We really hope to return here in the future and would highly recommend!

The best place to stay in Zanzibar for us! We travelled around the island and must say that Nyumbani Residence was by far our favourite. The one-bedroom house was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The outdoor spaces are beautifully maintained, a peaceful little oasis. Paola is an amazing host, so helpful and lovely to chat with. The manager (sorry, I forgot her name!) was super sweet and even brought her daughter to play with ours, which was such a nice touch. And Paola’s cats were definitely a bonus! 😄

Paola and her team are absolutely INCREDIBLE. They are so welcoming and helpful. It's such a brilliant spot to - 2 minutes walk to the beach but it also means you're sheltered from the strong winds. We went for self catering which suited our needs. Definitely choose the breakfast option. It was a highlight for us every morning. We will definitely be back!

Breakfast was delicious with eggs to order. Rooms were spacious with fantastic bathroom. Self catering facility was top notch with many relaxation areas in our villa and by the 2 pools. Very beautiful garden, quiet and very well managed Suites. The Italian manager responded to every request immediately. Our Suite was bigger and cleaner than the most other we visited in Zanzibar. We had Air-condition and hot water all the time. There’s also a electric generator that was a huge plus. Also great Internet connection! The cats are cute) Mille grazie

The hotel is run by an Italian family. Paola has created a piece of Europe in the middle of the exotic African jungle. We found European standards of quality and comfort and the warmth of Italian hospitality. Beautiful surroundings, small cozy houses nestled among blooming African trees, bushes, and flowers. The hotel is close to the main road, which is very convenient for traveling, yet we had a sense of complete privacy and seclusion. The hotel isn’t located directly on the beach, but it’s only a five-minute walk away. Within the hotel grounds, there are even two big swimming pools, with a nicely arranged relaxation area, so you can enjoy the sun and water without leaving the property. We stayed in a very comfortable, spacious house with air conditioning. There were some water and spices for cooking waiting for us upon arrival. The continental breakfast was great. The best experience, however, was Paola - the very special hostess of the place. She personally handled every single issue, answered all our questions, and gave us the most valuable advice on restaurants and services in nearby towns. She also shared her favorite places in Stone Town, which we gladly visited and truly appreciated. All the staff members were very helpful, offering advice on getting around and making the most of our stay. The hotel is in a great location. You can easily walk to Paje along the beach. There’s a large sandbank with very easy access, just a short distance from the hotel to the north - you simply can’t miss it. It’s an amazing place for all kinds of enjoyment. And just to the south, there’s the very special town of Jambiani - full of friendly people and interesting activities. A very genuine vibe of local life. At this hotel, we were able to unwind after a rather thrilling and exciting journey. It felt like European home with all the beauty and pleasures of Africa. The biggest thank you to Paola.
