Our stay at Mango Beach House was truly unforgettable. Set on an idyllic stretch of beach, it felt like paradise—being able to walk straight from our room onto the sand was incredible. The rooms are beautifully curated, each with its own unique character, which we much preferred over the standardised feel of larger hotels. The setting of Mango Beach House is absolutely stunning—we felt incredibly lucky to wake up each day to the beautiful sunrise over the sea right from our room. From the moment we arrived, the hotel and its staff made us feel completely at home. When we were out exploring during the day, we always looked forward to returning and relaxing back at Mango. The attention to detail was outstanding—from the fresh fruit and amazing mango juice at a delicious breakfast with a sea view, peaceful daytime vibes, and lively Saturday evenings with live music and incredible food and drinks. The food and cocktails were some of the best we had during our trip, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to make our stay special. Beth and Dulla were incredibly helpful in recommending and organising activities, including local sailing boat and snorkelling, as well as suggesting great local dining spots when we wanted to explore. A particularly special highlight was how they celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday. The team created a beautiful, personalised beachside dinner with a bespoke menu, cake, decorations, and even a flower arrangement on the bed—it was clear how much care and effort went into making the evening unforgettable. We feel very lucky to have stayed here—it’s easily one of the most amazing places we’ve ever visited and we would come back in a heartbeat. A huge thank you to Beth, Dulla, and the entire Mango Beach House team for such a memorable experience.

It was a fabulous location set on the edge of the beach. Beth and Dulla were wonderful hosts. They made every effort to provide the ambiance for a fabulous Birthday party for my friend. They prepared a wonderful buffet that was enjoyed by all. They also hosted a wonderful evening of music and fire dancers. There was a Taarab musician playing his qanun which was enchanting, as well as vocalist/ guitarist/ drummer playing more familiar tunes. A wonderful way to spend st Valentines evening. A pit was dug on the beach in the shape of a heart and had a fire lit within to add to the ambiance of the evening. I was particularly envious of my friends who had a fabulous little room that opened up to a view of the ocean! Definitely going to wait for another opportunity to book those rooms one day! The pool is a real treat too! Security at Mango is Excellent! I felt very safe even with doors left wide open by me, day and night! so lovely to be able to feel that way! Beth was very interactive and I really enjoyed my chats with her! she is a hostess that made all her guest feel so relaxed, more than welcome, and like family! Thank you so much. We did a lovely excursion on the local sailing boats which was most enjoyable. Getting about was very easy on Tuk Tuks, long walks on the beach most enjoyed by all. I recommend Mango as the loveliest place on Jambiani Beach as it was intimate & homely and right on the edge of the beach.

Plus, they really care about being eco-friendly, which makes it even better.

Our week-long stay at this beautiful hotel in Zanzibar was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that instantly set the tone for an amazing stay. The room itself was spacious and thoughtfully designed, with an open-concept layout that made it feel airy, relaxing and the view was spectacular. We could litterally fall asleep by the sound of the waves and wake up with a stunning sunrise. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and truly felt like a home away from home. The food was delicious, made with fresh ingredients and always served with a smile. The happy hour was definitely a plus! What really made our stay unforgettable, though, was the people. The hosts, Beth & Dullah, were absolutely wonderful— always open to our suggestions, always attentive, and always going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The staff were incredibly professional and friendly, constantly treating us with care and kindness. By the end of the week, leaving felt less like checking out of a hotel and more like saying goodbye to friends. We’re deeply grateful for such a heartfelt experience and would love to come back. “Absolutely fantastic!”

The hotel and the location were exactly what we had dreamed of. This was our first trip to Zanzibar and we wanted to stay in a small and personal boutique hotel on a beautiful beach and that was exactly what we got. The atmosphere was relaxed and personal. We felt so pampered. The entire hotel is tastefully decorated. We stayed in a family suite with 3 separate bedrooms and bathrooms. There was also a living room and a fantastic terrace with a view of the Indian Ocean. We woke up to the sound of waves and the sun rising over the sea. The restaurant was open all day and we were well taken care of with breakfast, lunch and dinner when we wanted. From the bar we were looked after at the sun loungers with fresh mango juice, fresh fruit and good drinks. Jambiani beach is a real paradise beach with several smaller hotels and nice restaurants. It is a quiet and friendly atmosphere with a mix of tourists and locals. Beth helped book a fantastic sailing and guided tour to a spice farm and Stone Town which was both entertaining and interesting. “Our absolute favourite trip so far—thanks to our wonderful hosts at Mango Beach House!”

We planned to visit Zanzibar for a two-week holiday plus a week working remotely, and it’s fair to say we hit the jackpot finding Mango Beach House. With only a few nights initially booked at Mango, we hoped to find someone knowledgeable on the island who could steer us clear of tourist traps and help us strike the right balance between relaxation and authentic experiences—and that’s where we met Beth. After a day or two soaking up the stunning seafront views, delicious veg samosas, and expertly prepared cocktails, we asked Beth for advice on exploring the island. She turned out to be an experienced travel consultant with a network of trusted guides and drivers who helped us experience the island exactly how we wanted—without a hint of pressure. After spending a couple of days in the north of the island, it became clear how much we trusted Beth’s taste, so we returned “home” to Mango Beach House for the rest of our trip. We worked remotely on the high-speed Wi-Fi and enjoyed the unmatched food, service, and vibe until our heart-wrenching departure back to London. We won’t be looking anywhere else when we return to Zanzibar!

You can feel the love that went into every corner. The incredible work that they put into renovating everything recently. And the love for Zanzibar and its people. The team is wonderful - warm and kind and always making sure you have the best time. Nicolas makes the best cocktails on the island (trust us: try the Piña Coladas!) and the food is simply outstanding. Cooked with heart and so much flavour. We explored the whole island and Jambiani is by far our favourite spot. So much more calm, authentic and full of relaxed people. The village has its charm and the sunrises are magical. Seriously: Mango Beach House is a place to unwind. To cuddle with Jenga, the house cat. To chill in or by the pool or the sea. Or to meet new people, if you’re in the mood. “Absolutely amazing”

An idyllic hotel right by the sea — the view is absolutely stunning. Everything was spotless, and the service was impeccable. The restaurant offered excellent value for money, and the food was delicious. The staff were truly lovely, and the owner went above and beyond to organize all our activities. A perfect stay!

“Like the pictures, onlt better and with tons of love”

I immediately knew from the photos that I wanted to stay here. This was my third stop on a two week solo trip in the south of Zanzibar The morning coffee on the private terrace, the fresh and clean pool, the comfortable sunbeds and the beautiful beach. Everything is so nice and the Mango House is very quiet and intimate with only nine guest rooms creating a close atmosphere. Note that if you like a more quiet place, Jambiani or Paje are typical tourist spots and might not be for you. I travelled off season but there are still alot of people around, and it can be a bit noisy in the mornings/nights, if you care about that. The breakfast is really good with a good menu to choose from. The dinner menu is also nice. The dinner was a little hit and miss, but that was my experience all over Zanzibar. One dish youbreally like can be "just ok" the next day. The chicken curry was my favorite. Beth and Dullah har created a very beautiful little oasis of good energy, and if you feel drawn to this place it is probably a sign that you should pay them a visit. They (Beth, Dullad and the rest of the staff) are super warm, friendly and inclusive and they are all very attentive to your needs without ever being pushy. I had several nice and interesting conversations with Beth during my six nights and Mango House. I was unlucky enough to get sick on my last day (when I was supposed to leave) and ended up with a short hospital stay. Being alone, sick and so far away from home felt a little scary but Beth and Dullah took great care of me and made sure I got to the hospital and that I had a bed and safe people around me when I got back as I wasn't able to leave that day even if my stay was actually over. Beth has even been checking up on me for days after I left to make sure I felt better and got home safely. I really recommend this to anyone thinking about visiting Zanzibar.
