What a beautiful place, right on the beach! It was nice and quiet while we were there. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. We loved our private terrace, with a big comfortable lounging couch. From where we could enjoy the beach, sea and breeze.

Very peaceful and chill place. Staff is very nice and attentive. The views are simply lovely, specially sunrise. Perfect location as it is right in the middle between Jambiani and Paje. Breakfast was very good with lots of options on the menu. I was looking for a place to do nothing but relax and it gave me the chance to do so. I would definitely come back.

The beachfront location and the organization of our stay were exceptional! The rooms were spacious and cozy! The staff was available around the clock and always took great care of us. It’s especially quiet there during the off-season, and we were practically the only ones there.

I had a wonderful stay at Joya Boutique! The location is ideal, perfectly situated for long, scenic walks to both Paje and Jambiani. My room and bathroom were impressively spacious, and the mattress was very comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. One of my highlights was the amazing breakfast on the porch each morning. Because it is a small boutique hotel, the ambience is quiet and incredibly attentive. The staff is so friendly and truly makes you feel welcome. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and high-quality stay!

It is a very sweet and nice hotel right at the ocean in a very quiet part of Jambiani. Nice and tasty food, good service. The are very small - only 5 or 8 rooms. A bit of a hippie style hotel, the locals were playing football just nearby - was very pleasant to watch them. And walk walk walk along the beach - is the main activity there. Ideal for romantic couples who love peace and ideal of solo travellers who want real reset.

We chose this hotel because it is beachfront and we absolutely loved our stay so much that we wanted to extend it. The room was comfortable, spacious, and clean every day, with lovely natural décor. Perfect for sea lovers! We especially enjoyed our balcony overlooking the sea, even in the evening. Breakfast was outstanding, the fruit was sweet, and the homemade bread and cakes were clearly made with love and care. It was by far the best breakfast of our entire vacation. On the day of our late-night departure, the hotel kindly prepared a breakfast box for us, which was wonderful. Jambiani itself was our favourite place in Zanzibar. Coral reefs are still vibrant, and locals use traditional boats (no fuel smell) for snorkeling and fishing. The area was quiet and perfect and the white sand beaches were the cleanest. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always available. The hotel restaurant offered delicious food. Highlights included the chapati bean roll, poke bowl with grilled calamari, and the fish curry. Thank you all for your loving hospitality, you made our stay truly unforgettable.

Mamamapambo Boutique Hotel in Jambiani was nothing short of a dream. This charming boutique hotel, nestled directly on the white sands of Jambiani Beach, offers an authentic Zanzibari experience that’s hard to beat. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality of the staff made us feel right at home. The manager Giuseppe and the whole team were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect. Their care was genuine and heartfelt. The hotel itself is a gem, with only six beautifully decorated rooms that blend traditional African style with modern comforts. The room was spacious, clean, and featured a large four-poster bed draped with mosquito nets, a private veranda, and a generous bathroom with a powerful shower. Waking up to the sound of waves and the sight of the turquoise Indian Ocean was pure magic. The hotel’s design, with its thatched roofs and lush tropical gardens, creates a serene and rustic ambiance that instantly puts you at ease. The food at Mamamapambo was a highlight. The restaurant, with stunning views of the ocean and garden, serves a delightful mix of Italian and Swahili cuisine. The breakfast was generous and fresh, with options to accommodate dietary needs. Having tea & coffee, sipped on the veranda while watching the sunrise, were some of the best I’ve ever had. The location is ideal for those seeking tranquility. Jambiani is a quiet fishing village, and the hotel’s beachfront setting offers endless opportunities for long walks on the powdery sand towards south coast or towards Paje & Bwejuu to the north; or swimming in the calm, turquoise waters during high tide. Low tide reveals fascinating rock pools teeming with marine life, perfect for exploration. The free Wi-Fi was reliable, and the small pool was a lovely spot to cool off while enjoying ocean views. The village next door added to the authentic experience for me.

“Gorgeous room by the water”

The hotel itself is absolutely fabulous, well designed, it is very cute and only 6 rooms! The room is beautiful, I had the one upstairs that is big and with a terrace viewing with beach. The room has open windows system (with mosquitoes net of course) which makes it a natural cooling system, I didn’t feel hot at all. All the staff is lovely. The food is very good. It is impressive how the tide changes in 1 day (can be very low and very high) so you have all options
