“Simply stunning”

The location of the hotel is just incredible. Also the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean, they even gave me an upgrade with sea view. I had several meals at the restaurant, it was extraordinarily good every single time. They really make you feel like home. I'm very grateful for this experience.

“JUST INCREDIBLE, THE BEST HOTEL”

This hotel was a real discovery for us in Zanzibar, even though it was not my first time on the island. After this stay, we only want to come back again and again and don’t feel the need to look for any other hotels. The staff is exceptional — kind, attentive, cheerful, and truly caring. You can really feel the great atmosphere within the team, and the hotel is kept in perfect condition. Our room was very comfortable, with a beautiful view and a huge bed. It was cleaned daily and treated against mosquitoes. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide buffet selection, fresh juices, and very high-quality products. The pool is new, very clean, and beautiful, and we hardly wanted to leave the hotel. The restaurant food was also amazing — especially the shrimp and mango wrap, which was simply divine. We will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.

Sadly just an average resort and in all regards below expectations for the high price per night. The snorkeling offering with a local guy was great and fairly priced. The majority of the staff was super nice. The hotel manager gave nice tips for Stonetown.

Blue Oyster never disappoints and now with their new pool it is even more fabulous. Rooms and facilities were very well appointed and the food was great! We had rain the second day and the staff was lovely, Mary helped us order food directly to our room to keep us fed and comfy until the sun showed up again.

“Fanstastic!”

We came in Dec. 25 and planned to stay for 4 days. But it was so amazing that we were happy to extend to 9 days. The location of this hotel on the beachfront of Jambiani is sensational, just as the interior and infrastructure. Breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as the offered drinks of any kind are very good. But best of all is the staff and all the lovely people of the Blue Oyster. Each of them is so warm and open. It‘s a pleasure and an honor to meet them. Thank you so much to all of them and congratulations to the management for having them all as employers. They seem to be happy and motivated and every encounter felt good. We will come back sometime 🏝️☀️

“I will definitely come back”

I loved it all. Wonderful location, excellent service and very comfortable rooms. I was looking for a place to relax. Booked 4 nights and stayed a week. Staff is very friendly, breakfast is amazing and everything is prepared for you to lay back and enjoy while listeningto the sound of nature (I really appreciate they don't play music neither offer loud activities). The swimming pool is a great extra, as the tide varies a lot (that is what makes Jambiani so special). I hired the snorkeling tour with Capitan Zapi and it was lovely. I also loved the restaurant: great choices and not overpriced. I definitely want to come back next year.

“Very relaxing hotel in a very calm part of Zanzibar”

- nice rooms, very clean, good shower, good soaps and shampoos - they are eco friendly, so there are no air conditioning (the fans are more than enough for a good night of sleep, as the nights are chilly) - the location in Zanzibar: extremely peaceful. Barely any noise from outside, not many people walking around, so it’s very very silent. In case you’re looking for a peaceful place, that’s the place to be - swimming pool with sun beds around, also with sand on the ground, giving even more the beach vibes even inside the hotel - the water bowls in front of every room for washing out the sand before entering the rooms :) - pretty much everything is nice in the hotel - the food: we loved that they had various local dishes, for very reasonable prices, and changing a few dishes every single day. Specially after traveling to other parts of the island, we realized how good and local the food was there. 10/10 - the staff: they were extremely gentle, polite, transmitting peaceful vibes. Always smiling, trying to be helpful, and talking a bit more when we tried some Swahili with them. - The handout from the hotel with useful sentences in Swahili: everybody was really appreciative when we tried engaging with them. Very good idea to have it there!

Very friendly staff and very well organised. Room was really nice. The bed was huge. Bathroom was beautiful. Rooms were clean and very well looked after throughout the stay. We ate at the restaurant most nights, which was good. Breakfast was great. Transport was easy to organise through the hotel which, considering the length of the journey, was reasonably priced. The swimming pool is big and was cleaned every day. Snorkelling with Captain Zapi was fun.

“Paradise! Best value for money in Zanzibar”

Best value for money hotel in Zanzibar! And I’ve stayed in a lot after living there for 6 months. This place is just a dream. The most beautiful ocean view and now they even have a pool! This is paradise! Breakfast is also really yummy.

“Exceptional & Amazing”

The hotel is so perfect. Very clean and very professional stuff. Everything was explained to us by the receptionist named Sarah. Ohhh we loved that woman cause she ensured that we understood everything and checked with us every single time to see if we are still fine. We loved the views, being able to walk down the beach with the nice view of the hotel was top notch. The food was amazing. They had a variety of options. The service is exceptional
