The owner was exceptional - super helpful, kind and on hand to support with anything. The location is stunning and very peaceful. The rooms are beautifully done to a high standard and cleaned well. Would absolutely recommend and hope to return.

“Perfect place to stay”

Beautiful location, fantastic staff and food. Was perfect for a week of relaxation and kitesurfing which was just down the beach. Stefania and her family run this place so well and couldn’t be more helpful. Small but with everything.

Stefania and her team has made every effort to make guest feel at home . We felt at home too. Amazing, laid-back vibes, well thought-out cuisine and service, very good pizza also! Unfortunately we had booked only two nights. We should have known better!

Another day in Paradise, would sing Phil Collins… Second stay at Bahari Bungalows and same good vibes that the first time. Everything was perfect, the room is comfortable and spacious with all you need, the restaurant really good, the staff is adorable and the atmosphere so peaceful and easygoing, with the Indian Ocean to your feet. And there is Stefania, the owner. She is the soul of Bahari Bungalows & Restaurant and working hard (with her mum and the same staff for years) to make you feel at home, always with her big smiles and singing italian accent. The result is something unique, that makes you truly feel in a little paradise. A big thanks for all, can’t wait to come back again 😊🩵💚

“The greatest Jambiani bungalows with ocean-view”

The family-run resorts looks fantastic, even better than in the photos. Stefania, the owner, is very welcoming and caring, and on top of that, the food is delicious. You can have a meal while watching the turquoise colour of the ocean. Stefania can arrange great trips around the island and help you in any other way. Additionally, I expected Jambiani to have a significantly higher tide difference compared to Nungwi Beach, but in reality, the difference wasn't as dramatic. The delta in sea altitude changes during the month. “Absolute heaven”

The most idyllic spot, right on an immaculate white sand beach. The staff were so helpful and the breakfast was amazing. Our trip out to the reef on a local dhow (organised by the hotel) was one of the highlights of our entire trip & was amazing with clear water for snorkeling and lots to see and hardly anyone else there. Much better than some of the more mass tourist boat trips. The beach bungalows were perfect for pur family in every way.

Loved the change from high tide to low tide. Lovely staff and service was excellent. Food was good.

“Perfect spot on the beach”

Staying at Bahari felt like being at home from arrival to departure. Stefania and Esther are so friendly and always smiling. The staff is full of attention and look happy to be working there. They joined into the dancing with guests on the special night (live music and acrobats). The location is perfect and the food is delicious👍 Would definitely recommend.... Deserves more than 2 stars....

“Paradise”

Our stay at Bahari was amazing from beginning till the end. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The bungalows were built under big trees so a lot of shade. The restaurant had amazing food with Italian and local cuisine. Breakfast was very tasty with delicious passion fruit jam. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Last but not least the owner, Stefania was a great host, who made us feel very special.

Excellent location. Good food. Stefania makes all the difference though. She arranged all our trips and gave suggestions which ensured us having a great time. Also, as bookings were made by her the rates were reasonable.

We stayed 8 nights at this lovely guesthouse, run by the Italian Stefania and her mother. Everything was well taken care of, clean, comfortable rooms, good showers and beds, and daily fresh towels. Stefania is a dedicated host with deep roots in the local community, and most of the staff are from the nearby village. They made us feel truly at home, which made leaving surprisingly hard. The atmosphere is relaxed and personal, and the food was consistently fresh and tasty.

“The most incredible 6 days of relaxation”

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The staff, all from Zanzibar, helped to create the perfect experience, and no request was too big. Stefania and her mother were there every day and made us feel part of the family. We didn't need to leave the hotel, however Stefania gave us tips on where to visit in Zanzibar, and where to avoid. She gave us a map and prepared an itinerary for us. All trips were booked to our room, which made everything super easy and cheaper than the beach boys. We tried eating elsewhere one night, but the food at Bahari was simply the best. The menu is extensive, and it was easy to see why other holiday makers were coming in from the beach. Breakfast each day was a delight, and we were able to skip lunch! Everything is homemade and authentic, and we were even touched and surprised by the takeaway breakfast given to us on our final day as we left at 4.30 am. We will definitely return. You will thank yourself for booking here.

The property is in a beautiful location, central to all restaurants and not far from the local town. Not to mention it’s on the beach! The bungalows are amazing, every detail is thought about. You don’t have to lift a finger or worry about anything - I organised all my excursions through Stefania. She is extremely welcoming and helpful.

Stefania is a very friendly and sweet host. She advised us on what to do and was very supportive throughout our stay. The whole staff is caring, friendly and professional. The food at the restaurant is delicious (curries, pizza, breakfast with homemade jam and cakes) The position of the hotel is in front of the beach and right in the middle of Jambiani, perfect for walks in both directions on the beach.
