Whatever I say about Savrupson Heritage Homestay is just a weak reflection of reality. This place is pure excellence in all aspects. Savrupson Heritage Homestay is a heritage bungalow that was originally built as a spacious private family residence reflecting traditional North Indian haveli-style architecture. The house features large rooms, verandas, antique furnishings, and landscaped gardens. Over time, the owners chose to preserve the property’s historic character and opened it to travelers as a small heritage homestay, allowing guests to experience traditional Punjabi hospitality while staying in an authentic family home. Today, it operates as a family-run guesthouse where the original architecture, décor, and lifestyle elements have been maintained to give visitors a glimpse of the region’s cultural and domestic heritage. The place and peaceful gardens are a wonderful spot to sit for a couple of hours, read a book and just soak in the atmosphere. A quiet oasis at the outskirts of bustling Jalandhar. The room (actually a suite) is spacious, luxurious and has everything you need, including a balcony overlooking the lush garden. But the best is the hosting family. Although Dinesh was away for unexpected family business, he has been in touch with me several times a day to ensure I was feeling fine and taking care of all my wishes. A call behind duty, true passion and dedication for hosting. His wife and family in the meantime took care of me at Savrupson Heritage Homestay. From a heartfelt welcome, to countless efforts to make me feel as home, as part of the family. In the evening I enjoyed a fabulous home cooked dinner and after a good night of sleep in the very comfortable bed was once again treated on a lush breakfast full of delights. Beautiful gardens and ornaments, the architecture and fascinating decoration. The family were warm, welcoming and accommodating. The facilities were so clean, and the bathroom was to a good standard.

We spent a restful few nights in this lovely family home. The garden is an oasis of pretty flowers, birds, and green lawns. The breakfasts were magnificent! And we enjoyed tea on the patio in the afternoons with Denish and his wife Shipra, who were wonderful hosts. Highly recommended! So peaceful! And I real privilege to stay in this beautiful family home. Denish was always at hand to see to our needs.

The highlight was definitely the incredible and delicious home-cooked breakfast. The house and surrounding are beautiful, a great option if you want to be away from the busyness of Jalandhar City.

The Propery is a traditional Indian house built using a blend of traditions, which which work beautifully together, flowing seamlessly, it’s unlike any other house in Punjab, the brainchild of the head of the family, who is the guiding light and keeper of the traditional Indian values of, humble service, self sacrifice and tradition, each spacious bedroom room has a beautifully clean en-suite and dressing area, a balcony for morning tea and to while away the long lazy afternoons overlooking the beautifully maintained gardens, elegant drawings room decorated with hand crafted antique panels and hand cut marble flooring, not that there is much time in-between helping to feed and milk the in-house dairy herd if you so wish, (the fresh made butter and yogurt are truly delicious),and CoCo the mischievous family dog, keeps everyone entertained, this house stay (more like being at home),has been the most peaceful and relaxing time I’ve had for a long time. I have never been treated to such gracious hospitality welcomed into the heart of a family, treated to a wonderful lovingly made breakfast every morning, always delivered with a smile and kindness. This was a home stay, with a difference, I came not quite knowing what to expect but the welcome I received was beyond my widest expectations. I really felt part of a special family in a house which is a green oasis in a vibrant city,
