Friendly, attentive staff. Walking distance from the city center. Clean and comfortable. Good value for money.

The owner is very friendly. We booked the room on short notice, that was no problem. Rooms are really cheap.

“A total dump”

Beware, the description does not match reality, at all! The interior is old and broken, the windows have bars and are tiny, making the room look like a prison cell. When I asked the proprietor about the "view upon a sight" mentioned in the listing, he told me to go out onto the street and look at the monument of Frunze. I was surprised how thin the walls are, you can hear almost every word said in the next room. The mattress in the room I stayed in was old and had a hollow in it, making it impossible to rest. What shocked me most, though, was the "bathroom". True, there WAS hot water. But I had to "shower" underneath a broken faucet and urinate into a hole in the floor. The water from the sink flows directly onto the floor and then into a drain, rendering the "bathroom" unsanitary. Since there is no ventilation, the bathroom reeked badly. There was no electric kettle, but some makeshift stove. The "garden" was a barren yard for cars. The only positive aspect was the rather helpful staff, that is well aware of the shortcomings. All in all, the place is taking advantage of the fact that so few hotels in town use Booking.com. '"Azimut"'s prices are INFLATED. When my return flight was canceled, I stayed in a small hotel named "Ala-Archa", next to the "Avtovogzal", the bus terminal in town, and was positively surprised what a clean, sunlit, well-equipped room you get for the same 14$ a night.

The rooms were comfortable and the lady was very nice, but be advised she only speaks Russian so Google translate will come in handy! It is also perfectly situated to explore the city on foot.
