Shanti Home is a charming, family-run hotel located close to the Fort Gate. It’s very budget-friendly but still offers thoughtful touches, like a freshly prepared breakfast served on the rooftop. The owners are exceptionally welcoming. The brothers, Chimmy and Lala, shared local tips and even helped us arrange an authentic dessert tour, which we highly recommend. Also make sure to not miss the small art gallery in the basement, featuring works by local Rajasthan artists.

It was an amazing experience staying here. Rooms were nice and spacious and the view of the city was really something. Staff were amazing and happy to give you very great recommendations. The restaurant was amazing, the quality of the food was incredible, I strongly recommend it!

Without a doubt Chimmy and his brother Lala really know what customer service is about. I wasn’t feeling great when we arrived and they couldn’t do enough to help me. Chimmy even bought me a hot water bottle to assist with my muscle spasms. Our room was large, bright and clean, perfect for a quiet few days. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated their care.

The hotel is located very close to Jaisalmer fort’s entrance. The room was very clean and well decorated. It’s very rare to come across such genuinely welcoming and friendly staff who are available to help out with anything in and around the city. Thanks to Chimmy, Lala and team!

A small hotel located in the old part of town, a 2-minute walk from the fort, with two large roof terraces from which you can admire the fort in all its majesty. Breakfast is served on the terrace and dinner is also available on request. The food prepared for dinner was delicious and made by the manager's brother, who still uses his grandmother's recipes and typical local products. Next to the hotel, the tourist agency, which also belongs to the manager's family, organises excursions to the nearby Tar desert. They organised our transfer by car to the next stop with great care and efficiency. Rooms are available with or without windows (quieter), the choice is yours!

It was a memorable experience staying at Shanti Home, staff is friendly and owners are very informative. Terrace is the USP with good food, excellent breakfast and amazing view of the Fort right next to the property. The location of the property is one of the finest in Jaisalmer in city center with all the monuments withing walking distance. Our room was clean and well ventilated with all essential facilities.

Loved staying at Shanti Home operated by Chimmy, who put lot of effort to decorate the house with local tradition fabrics and materials. Our room was on the first floor it was spacious and well furnished, bathroom was clean and with great hot shower. The terrace has an incredible Fort view. Lots of good suggestion by Chimmy to visit sights in Jaisalmer, good restaurant recommendations. We highly recommend Shanti Home and will definitely return.

The location is great, just 1 minute walk from the fort and with a fantastic view on it. You can sit and sip your tea in a very well refurbished terrace. All the building is very clean decorated and maintained with love by the owner, who was super friendly and kind with us. He can also organise safaris and always gives you good suggestions on where to eat or where to go. Hot water was easy to have and the shower had good pressure. We had a nice sleep even if the rooms don't have windows. Fan and AC worked very well. ATM just next door. Thanks to Lala, we had a very pleasant stay.

“Wonderful Host and great overnight camel safari experience.”

My son and I had a great time over our three nights at Shanti Home. The room had a lovely hot shower and was extremely peaceful. Chimmy, the proprietor, seems incredibly helpful and composed. In addition to having a fantastic staff working with him in the desert, he organized a safari for overnight stays. The roof patio offers a superb breakfast and a great view of the Fort. Both the safari and the stay are highly recommended.

It's operated by the owners and the service is outstanding. They organize transport, ask relevant things about what you may need ahead of time, etc. Super competent and attentive. Good bathroom. Good location, 100m from the fort. Wonderful terrace to have breakfast always with fresh fruit.

Very welcoming and helpful host. We got an upgrade to a larger room. Comfortable bed. Clean. Breakfast was delicious.

We can’t thank Lala and the staff at Shanti home enough for how accommodating they have been throughout our stay. I arrived very unwell and they have done everything they can to make the stay as comfortable as possible for us. Nothing has been too much - more toilet roll, more soap, a change of pillow cases, even going to the local market for us to get peanut butter. They have met our every request and provided such kindness whilst doing so. The room is clean, the bed comfy, the ac works great and the shower is hot and powerful. We were only meant to stay one night, but they have let us extend our stay every day. We have now been here 6 nights and are looking forward to learning more about the tourist attractions from them soon as they are so knowledgeable about the area. Thank you!

Adjacent to the Jaisalmer Fort, this charming tiny hotel is in a prime location. The owner is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. He gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants, shopping destinations, and things to visit in the city. With a fantastic view of the fort and a delicious breakfast every day, the rooftop was fantastic. Both the bathroom and the room are large and spotless. Strongly suggested; we will very certainly return.
