Beautiful building from the owners great grandfather. Felt like stepping back into history. Would highly recommend. Owner shared a little about his family. Breakfast and dinner was excellent. Very friendly staff. We left a shirt in the room and they kindly delivered it to our next hotel. Highly recommend coming here, one of the best hotels we have stayed in.

Freshly prepared dinner, they take the order and prepare. Good breakfast, porridge and tea were really good. Puppet show was very nice, had a very cozy atmosphere.

Extraordinary place where we've found peace, from crowded and noisy Jaipur streets. Helpful and nice owner, delicious food, clean room. And in the evenings cooking classes (which unfortunately we didn't have time to attend - maybe next time) Puppet show. What to expect more. We highly recommend staying at Dera Mandawa.

I looked long and hard for a place to stay in Jaipur. I wanted a hotel that had charm and character but also was in a good location so I could walk out. I also wanted somewhere that was set back from the road, as Jaipur can be a little noisy for me. I am so happy I chose Dera Mandawa. The owner, Mr Singh, was very welcoming and so friendly, he helped me to organise my day trips and also gave advice on my trips outside Jaipur too. There is a restaurant in the Haveli with delicious home cooked food and the dining area is warm and welcoming. The building has so much history and Mr Singh will share information if you are interested to know. The rooms are vey clean, spacious and have super comfortable beds, The biggest thing I have to mention is the rooms have been sound-proofed so you can sleep soundly whilst the streets stay busy at night. The service is excellent and all the staff are really wonderful. Thank you for welcoming me Dera Mandawa , I will be back soon!

Great staff, family owned hotel providing good breakfast and sharing the history of the building. We had a welcome drink and could attend also puppet show. It is really a quiet oasis in the middle of the frenetic and loud city. The room was spacious with beautiful furnitures. Again the staff was very attentive and helpful, we felt very well welcome.

“Authentic Atmosphere in a place wich brings you back in time”

Staff welcomed us in a cosy environment, really transporting you back to the old fashioned colonial atmosphere. Nice breakfast freshly served every morning . We loved some environment friendly arrangements . The room was exceptionally big and the sleeping was sound.

“The perfect place to stay in Jaipur”

One of our favourite hotel stays ever. An oasis in the middle of Jaipur. Mr Durga Singh was the perfect host, greeting us at the train station, telling us all about the interesting history of the hotel and joined us for dinner to tell us tales of his fascinating family and life. The breakfast was excellent and we also enjoyed a Rajasthani thali in the evening. The rooms were spacious and clean with a huge bed and divans that the children loved.

“Oasis”

Superb stay - so helpful staff who met us on the rail station platform at 6 am in the morning after an overnight train from Jalandar! Able to access the rooms early with no extra charge. Rooms were super clean and spacious and tidy and helpfully could share a room as a family. Food was simple but service superb and the hotel arranged a guide and transport for Jaipur. Good restaurant recommendations too and nice roof terrace. It’s in a busy area but super quiet and peaceful so ideal location. Thank you for a great stay!

Personal, friendly and helpful haveli. A sanctuary in busy Jaipur. Good homecooked food and we also took part in a cookery workshop with a trip to the market first which was great fun and delicious. The host, Durga, had many stories and anecdotes that made our trip.

My stay at the haveli, was absolutely beautiful. The paneer and his family is so welcoming & truly was the best part of the experience. They were very corporative & treated their guest like family!

What a special place to stay in Jaipur. We loved the style and personal service at this hotel, we were made to feel so welcome - like one of the family! We also did the cooking class and watched the puppet show - both were brilliant. A special mention has to go to Mr Singh who was the heart and soul of the place. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

“Perfect stop off in Jaipur!”

Beautiful building and setting in a great location. Each room was stunning and we all felt like royalty. Mr Singh, the owner, is always on hand, dedicated to providing an excellent experience for his guests. Breakfasts are plentiful and delicious all served in a courtyard filled with gorgeous trees and birdsong. Highly recommended!

Owner and staff were hospitable and friendly. Food was excellent. Hotel was unique and quirky - in a very good way Puppy show was particularly good!

We like the unique experience we had with the host and the locals, the place of stay did give us the taste of the good old Jaipur flavours
