Allen is very accommodating with our special breakfast request as well as being very knowledgeable about the area and history. He went out of his way to help us with our on-going travel, making sure we had a good TukTuk driver and going to the bus station on his bike to see us onto the right bus. Highly recommend.

Allen is unbelievbly friendly warm and welcoming. Really really good Soul. Unbelievbly helpful. The Place is an oasis and perfect located in Jaffna.

Mr Allen is a tremdous host and his accommodation is equally superb. He was kind enough to help us to acquire bicycles and a scooter during our stay. His place is spotlessly clean and comfortable. Allens high rating on this website states the truth. He should run for mayor of Jaffna.

Allen's was one of - if not the - favourite places we stayed in Sri Lanka. Our arrival date in Jaffna changed, so we ended up making two bookings, for a total of three nights. We had the same, bright, comfortable, airy en suite room for three nights. The house is so cool and well ventilated that we never used the aircon, and even turned the fan to the lowest setting. Allen made us a great breakfast on our first two mornings, and even made us a pack lunch when we set off super early on our final morning. His house is a short distance from the Nallur temple, several eateries, and shops, while the train station, bus station and town centre were a short tuk tuk ride away, and easily walkable without heavy luggage. Allen is a really welcoming and gracious host, full of useful tips about Jaffna and the surrounding area. We would wholeheartedly recommend Allen's place to other travellers coming to Jaffna.

“Beautiful quite guesthouse in a great location”

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful guesthouse and with our fantastic host Allen. The house is furnished beautifully and perfectly located in a quite side street close to the temple and Rio ice cream :) Thanks again Allen for your hospitality, the great breakfast and for sharing your insights in Jaffna and its history!

This is a true homestay and what makes it so wonderful is Allen himself. He’s a great, kind host - full of information and tips for the area. The breakfasts are fabulous and Allen went out daily to find us fresh cooked Sri Lankan breakfast items. It’s is a quiet residential area only a few minutes walk from the temples, Rio ice cream parlour and a few shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would happily return.

The host was very helpful with local travel arrangements. Spacious room with a large bed and access to other parts of the house - living, verandah and outdoor settings.

Allen is welcoming, attentive, engaging and informative. His place is so comfortable and peaceful yet in easy reach of town.

Lovely place. Well located close to the city centre, railway station and main temple. Allen was a gracious and knowledgeable host, very attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay here as the location is so convenient and Allen was so kind and generous. This homestay was the best we stayed at in SL and Jaffna was by far the most interesting city.
