“hotel illegally refused tax invoices in violation of Japan's Consumption Tax Act, placing guests”
ILLEGAL REFUSAL OF TAX INVOICE + HOSTILE STAFF - AVOID AT ALL COSTS! WARNING: BUSINESS TRAVELERS BEWARE This hotel blatantly violates Japanese tax law by refusing to issue legally required invoices (領収書). As a corporate traveler requiring reimbursement, I experienced: 1. UNLAWFUL CONDUCT BY STAFF: Demanded tax-compliant invoice at checkout per Japan's Consumption Tax Act (Article 63) Front desk manager categorically refused, falsely claiming: "Booking.com must provide it" Staff became verbally hostile when shown Japan National Tax Agency regulations 2. LEGAL & FINANCIAL RISK TO GUESTS: Hotels MUST issue invoices with their registered tax ID - third parties CANNOT comply Their refusal makes expense reimbursement IMPOSSIBLE for employees = You may pay 100% out-of-pocket due to their fraud。 I am: ① Formally reporting this hotel to Booking.com's Legal Department for facilitating tax evasion ② Filing criminal complaint with: Japan National Tax Agency (国税庁) - Case # will be posted here Consumer Affairs Agency (消費者庁) - Ref: [Your Ref] ③ Demanding Booking.com REMOVE this property until compliance As 10-year Booking.com user with 100+ stays globally, this is the worst legal violation I've encountered Staff intentionally mislead guests to avoid tax transparency Your company will REJECT reimbursement without proper invoice

Pleasant staff, comfortable beds, decent size rooms. Toiletries provided including toothpaste and toothbrush set (unfortunately I left mine at previous accomodation so this came in handy). Seaview, albeit with highway. Shuttle bus service to nearest train station
