“Very happy with the stay”
We came to Izumi to see the cranes. Staff were very helpgul in organizing early morning taxi. The location is very conveneint for the station to take the local train to Minamata

“A very pleasant stay - comfortable and good value for money”
Easy and smooth check in and clean, big and comfortable beds. We were travelling in a group and our rooms were automatically placed next to each other. Parking was provided for free. A fun surprise was the shampoo bar. Overall a very pleasant stay.

“For the birds”
This was mostly the only choice for crane-watchers in Izumi (our party was too big for the place inside the sanctuary). Nice staff. Nice area, don't miss the crane shrine with largest bell. We ate at a pleasant izakaya down the street. We rose before dawn to reach the crane center, yet made it back just in time for the included breakfast, which was nothing special but hit the spot. Staff even brought out a small rice cooker because the big one was down to the dregs. Room was big.

Within stone’s throw to train station, though a bit of walking needed in getting to key attractions. Staff at reception counter was extremely helpful when we asked about dinner options

“Functional base for seeing the wintering cranes in Izumi.”
You can walk from the train station. Hotel staff helped me book a taxi for seeing the cranes at the Crane Observation Center. The hotel is a busy business hotel. They have the largest set of amenities and bath soaps I’ve seen. They have other amenities on each floor, including shelves of Japanese Manga.

The room was lovely overlooking the sea, the room was large with a large bathroom. The bed was comfortable and clean. Lovely clean beach.
