“Incredible stay”

My stay was wonderful. I was looking for some peace and relaxation after a long period of constant travel and work, and this was exactly what I needed. The apartment complex was very pleasant, and it had the most comfortable futon bed I have ever slept on. The bike rides I took were among the most enjoyable experiences I have had in Japan so far. If I ever find myself in the Izumi area again, I would definitely choose to stay here again.

This is a wonderful accommodation located out of the beaten path, which we would love to visit again! Our room was really spacious, with our own kitchen corner, living room, and sleeping area. The tatami-covered room and its futons were beautiful and comfortable, and we had all the amenities necessary to feel at home. The property and its garden are beautifully maintained, and you can feel that the owners really care about the place. The view from our windows was directly on trees and bamboos, with the sound of the nearby river the only thing to be heard. How relaxing that was! We wish we could have stayed a whole week. The staff is really kind and helpful, everyone we met went out of their way to make sure we had all we needed. There are also free electric bicycles to borrow, which was a great way for us to explore our surroundings. In short, we loved it and would visit again anytime.

It was once of the nicest villa every stayed in. Quality of the staff was excellent, fast responsive and very friendly and great service.

This is a refined and authentic Japanese-style accommodation. Everything felt carefully maintained, from the interior details to the serene garden. The environment is quiet and relaxing, perfect for unwinding. A wonderful place to experience traditional Japanese hospitality.

The staff were kind and welcoming, and the room had a unique character rather than a typical hotel style. The surroundings were natural, quiet, and peaceful. The Japanese garden was especially impressive and offered a genuine sense of traditional culture. A great place to slow down and enjoy a calm atmosphere.

This was one of the best places we stayed in Japan. The location is fantastic, especially if you are arriving from or leaving to the airport. The airport pickup service was very convenient and we reached the property in about 30 minutes, which made everything very easy. There is a daily shuttle to the train station, and from there it’s a direct train ride into central Osaka, so getting around was simple while still staying in a quiet, peaceful area. The guesthouse is very calm, beautiful, and surrounded by nature. The garden is absolutely lovely, and the maple trees were especially stunning — it felt like a small hidden retreat. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with a great variety, and the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, always making sure we were comfortable. If you are looking for a relaxing stay with great service and easy access, this place is perfect. We would definitely stay here again.

“Memorable experience”

Oukai Villa Izumi is a dreamy place surrounded by nature, peace and silence. The staff team has been wonderful, so welcoming and kind, also supporting me in arranging the wedding proposal for my partner in the beautiful garden of the villa. The apartment is so curated even in the smallest details. We loved so much also the traditional meals at dinner and breakfast! A stay we will remember forever, suggesting it for everyone looking for a memorable experience!

“Wonderful and authentic stay in area of outstanding natural beauty”

Very beautiful and hospitable ryokan with a wonderful garden! In a beautiful location, one hour drive from Kansai airport as well as one hour from Koyasan. I enjoyed it very much, in fact it was the best ryokan during my three weeks traveling in Japan.

“Definitely our best experience staying in Japan!!”

Just a beautiful property overall and our little villa was so nice. We felt like vips walking in. We were quite a bit early for check in and they accommodated us anyways. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. So welcoming and helpful. The villa was super clean and very comfortable. We booked dinner there and so glad we did because it was amazing. The breakfast was also so good. Both meals were authentic Japanese food. They also have e bikes there that we used one of the days. The whole experience was amazing!

Everything was absolutely perfect: the shuttle service from Izumi to the villa, the warm welcome, the peace and serenity of the place, the authentic Japanese architecture, the carefully designed garden, the comfortable bedding, the spacious room, the luxurious high-tech amenities, the cleanliness, the bath with a beautiful garden view, the stunning surrounding landscapes, the cultural aspect with nearby temples, the electric bikes available for lovely rides, the delicious hot pot dinner and beautifully served breakfasts, the kimonos provided (which made our photos even more special), and the thoughtful gifts we received when leaving. Every detail was impeccable in this magical place. The icing on the cake was the kindness and attentiveness of the staff, which made our stay even more enjoyable and unforgettable! My husband speaks a bit of Mandarin and was able to chat with the staff, it was such a warm exchange. Thank you all for making our stay so amazing !

Heaven on earth. The best experience, kind staff, very caring. Breathtaking location, very clean, super peaceful. Every time I thought it can’t get any better, it just did! They made my birthday really special, they even gave me cake and a card! And when I left they gave me a gift!

A quiet little ryokan near Kansai airport, nestled in gardens within its private grounds. Staff were most helpful and friendly. The rooms were spotless and very decent. Highly recommended!

Very beautiful and quiet place with friendly staff. Would highly recommend! Very clean bathroom, and comfortable beds. We had a very rainy day, but it was still nice to stay in the little house.

“If you're staying in Izumi or near Koya, STAY HERE, you will not regret it”

Absolutely superb, amazing hosts & hostesses, spectacular dinner and breakfast. Couldn't say anything bad even if I tried. And the Koi pond is amazing (my favourite fish) we spent about an hour every morning just watching them swim around haha.

We booked half-board for just one night: the apartment is really beautiful with a wonderful view into the garden. The bathroom is really luxurious, the beds (Futons) very comfortable. We had a very relaxed stay at Oukai Villa Izumi!
