“I had a great stay at Onsen Yado Mizuguchi!”

It’s right near the centre of Shuzenji and is in a lovely location by the river. The room was traditional and simple. Breakfast and dinner are served in the room - both were delicious! There was air conditioning for the room and a balcony to sit with a drink. The onsen was small, but very hot and relaxing. The showers are handheld and in the onsen area, but it encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone and try the onsen! The staff were friendly and very helpful. This was my first time staying in a traditional ryokan and I would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Location - It's Shuzenji so you are going to have to take a bus either way, but where it is, it's pretty central to where everyone else is going for food and the like. Big Rooms - if you are travelling with stuff, you'll usually end up having more than enough as a solo traveller Reasonable price - Sub-10k yen for an onsen is fantastic.

The hotel is located near Bamboo Grove & Shuzenji Temple. maybe 3mins walk. Free parking in front of the hotel. 3~4 cars depends on size. Onsens bathroom is small on 1F, toilet is on 2F with steep stairs. Meals is simple, but it is enough.

This is a small but very comfortable hotel. It is located near to a small river with beautiful Autumn leaves scenery if you come at the right time. The owner is friendly. I love the beef soba dinner prepared by the owner. I would say the best I have ever tasted. The room size is big. I had a balcony overlooking the river. Unfortunately, the weather is just too cold for me to seat outside to enjoy the view.

“Lovely stay at this cute accommodation”

I had a lovely stay over a weekend at this cute accommodation. It has all the basic necessities that I need. The accommodation is right in the middle of the town, next to the bamboo forest and faces Katsura River. I was early for check in so I left my bag at the reception and explored the town. After I came back to check in, I was shown to my room and also all the facilities in the accommodation. My room was upstairs with a terrace that's shared with other rooms. The terrace faces the river and has a few table and chairs for guests to enjoy. It has a cute onsen that's separated by gender. The times I've been using it, there weren't any other guests using it so it felt like my private onsen. The room has tatami bed but guests will have to lay out their own. I had a good night sleep with the tatami bed. There's also a cafe outside the accommodation that faces the river. I didn't get to explore the cafe because I only found out about it on the day I checked out. It looks lovely and I wished I had more time to check out the cafe. Breakfast was the most unexpected surprise for me. I have some food allergies and I informed the staff on the day I checked in. When I turned up for breakfast, it was a lovely feast and I did not expect them to replace the food that I can't eat. Overall, I had a lovely stay here and highly recommend for travellers who would love to enjoy the ryokan experience without breaking the bank.

The location is amazing, view on the river with the trees its side, the room is very nice, the breakfast is delicious, the boss is always available if you need something, the ryokhan is near lots of restaurants and interesting points, and a few minutes car to fuji points of view and waterfalls and other beautiful things, and the onsen is very nice, and finally there's a free parking !!

The room was large and well air conditioned. I really enjoyed the onsen, I felt very clean afterwards. The facilities were nice. The man at the front desk was nice and informative as well. I recommend coming here with a car, there are many beautiful locations less than an hour away from there.

There was a shared onsen. Nobody else was using it so it felt private for me. The location is extremely central. Right infront of the Bamboo Forest Path and walking distance to a few cafes and convenience stores.

Loved it! had the best sleep of my entiere trip, the host is kind, the food is amazing and the onsen experience was fabulous. It is so calm and peaceful, I would 100% recommand this place 🙏🏼
