Easy drive from the airport. Located on a pleasant quiet street. Everywhere was clean and well ordered. Staff were very helpful and stored luggage for us.. Good coffee at breakfast.

We stayed here several time in Madagascar and enjoyed our time. Staff are kind, and the food is excellent! The chicken curry and zebu were both great. We stayed in several different rooms, all were great, however one was very damp - a bathroom fan would really help this. The location is easy, 5 minutes from the airport by car.

The hotel is a bit folder than the pictures on booking.com. But it was ok for our first night in Madagaskar. We were picked up at the airport as promised. The people were very nice and the food was excellent.

“Very quiet, peaceful and beauiful place to stay”
The location was not too far from airport (about 20-30 minute drive depending on traffic). The hotel itself was small about 5 rooms and was clean. The staff were very good and very friendly. The manager (and indeed all the other staff) did everything they could to make us comfortable and happy. Avamada Lodge will be forever etched in our memory because this was our HONEYMOON. My wife and I love the quietness of the place. And its very picturesque. The centrepiece of the dvelopment was the swimming pool with trees and greenery all around. I loved it and swam every morning around 6am and a young man cleaned the pool everyday. Meals were good value for money, and they do a really tasty chicken curry and rice. :-). The hotel manager also collected from and delivered us back to airport at the end of our visit. Would I recommend Avamada Lodge? If you want nice relaxing holiday in quiet, comfortable budget hotel in 99.9999999999% safe environment for your family, friends, or other half, then you will not regret your stay here. So yes, 100% I recommend it. Oops, I almost forgot, the wifi was very strong too (but see electricty comments below), and the full protection mosquitoe net and air-conditioning were lifesavers.

“Nice overnight stay on the way in or out of Mada”
Nice spacious room, we had a little balcony. Everything you need for an overnight stay. Food was good. And the shuttle to the airport was great. Please remember payment is by card, Euro or Ariari, they do not take $. They let us stay and stopped at a good exchange for us to change money and pay on the way to the airport. Take a walk up the road to the small market.

“The best first stop in Madagascar”
Great pool and mind blowing steaks. I wasn’t expecting an airport hotel to be so great. Also the staff were incredibly friendly.
