Overview
Boasting hot-spring baths with mountain views, a sauna and massage service, Seizan Yamato is a 10-minute drive from JR Ito Station, which can be reached in 25 minutes from JR Atami Station. A free shuttle bus between JR Ito Station and the property is provided. Seizan Yamato Ryokan’s air-conditioned rooms have traditional futon beds and tatami (woven-straw) floors. A tea maker and flat-screen TV are provided. Guests can enjoy views of Ito city, and rooms on the 4th floor or higher provide sea views as well. Maruyama Park and Nagisa Park are both about 2.5 km away. Matsukawa is about a 15-minute drive. The baths at this property use pure hot-spring water directly taken from the source. A hot-spring bath can be reserved for private use, for an additional charge. Aromatherapy treatments are available at the spa, and the hotel has an on-site garden. A free-use internet terminal and free wired internet are provided in the lobby. Traditional Japanese multi-course meals featuring are served for dinner. Guests can choose Japanese or Western meals for breakfast.

I really loved the onsen experience. We also paid extra for the Kaysei dinner, which was delicious and well presented. However, it was a pity that we were not informed in advance that we needed to choose our main dish when booking the meal, so we were unaware that pre-selection was required. In the end, the chef selected one abalone and one beef dish for us. Although both were good, we would have preferred to choose abalone for both. Despite this small issue, the overall stay was still very enjoyable and relaxing, and we left with a happy experience.

Great onsen resort, super nice and helpful staff. Amazing food. With the hotel shuttle bus, easy travel from and to the Ito station where you can jump on bus to varies famous spots.

“Great stay, great staff”
Staff are very friendly and proactive in providing additional support. My family and I had a wonderful time spending here, the picturesque scenery, the comfortable and authentic setting in the room, the beautiful ikebana deco and Japanese arts around making this place so aesthetically appealing. The food was beautifully presented and tasted so delicious. We enjoyed our stay so much and would like to stay here next trip to Ito.

“Classical and elegant ryokan with four baths, located above traditional hot baths town by the sea”
The ryokan is rather modern, in a classic Japanese style. It has four baths, two of them outdoors, which are especially nice. We had a room with a large terrace, a little garden and an outdoor bathtub, which we enjoyed greatly. The room was spacious and beautiful. The staff was very friendly and went out of their ways to make sure we had have a good time. For example they changed the course for me, as I do not eat meat. It helps to speak some Japanese, but they are also prepared to communicate with guests who don’t.
