An amazing stay – I highly recommend this place. I spent two weeks here with my girlfriend and they were the best holidays of our lives. A big part of that was staying exactly here – the atmosphere, comfort, and the people running this place truly made a difference. The host genuinely cares about his guests. Every morning he would wake up early and go to the store to buy fresh products for breakfast. It was very nourishing – eggs, cold cuts, cheese – but there was always something sweet and exotic as well: fried bananas, Brazilian fruits and vegetables (many of which I had never tried before), and delicious banana cake. You could really feel the effort and heart put into it. The rooms are spacious – ours had a private bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe, which was a big plus because our clothes didn’t clutter the main part of the room. Everything was always clean, and whenever we asked for cleaning, it was done without any problem. The location is very convenient – about a 6-minute walk to the nearest beach with a breathtaking sunset viewpoint. Around 7 minutes to the town center, and about 15 minutes to the first of the four main beaches. Everything is within easy walking distance. There is also a small pool at the guesthouse, perfect for cooling off during the day. Additionally, there’s plenty of space for remote work – the covered area protects you from both sun and rain, and there is an outdoor power outlet, which makes working very comfortable. The guesthouse is family-run – besides the host, his wife and a helpful staff member are also there. This means someone is always available, and if you ask for help, they truly commit to it. When we ran out of water one evening, they drove to the only open store nearby to bring us several bottles. When I had an issue with my flight reservation to Rio de Janeiro, the host spent over 40 minutes on the phone with the airline’s support to help resolve it. You can genuinely feel the hospitality and care here.

“I do not recommend”

When I arrived for check-in, I had to wait over 15 minutes under the sun for the host to arrive and hand over the keys. The room was quite small, and a light fixture was hanging from the ceiling. There were also a lot of hairs in the shower, and the wall finishing was poor, with visible stains. Breakfast on Saturday was good, however on Friday the selection was very limited, with no consistency between days. The pillows were too large and uncomfortable, and the pillowcases and bedding had a rough texture that wasn’t pleasant. When I woke up, my face was marked with patterns from the fabric. When the host showed me the room, he mentioned there were drinks in the minibar and said to “help yourself.” I assumed these were complimentary, especially as there was no price list in the room. After I left, he messaged me on WhatsApp asking if I had consumed anything from the minibar, which I found unprofessional and confusing. Overall, this stay did not meet my expectations, and I would not recommend this place.
