“Long weekend in Istanbul”
Location was perfect, in the peaceful area, yet close to restaurants and shops. In the walking distance to the main attractions (Great Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi, Blue Mosque). The personnel was very polite and helpful. Breakfasts were tasty and offered a nice variety.

The hotel is very charming and truly captures the authentic Turkish vibe, making you feel right at home. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious, although it was quite similar each day. The bed was made daily and fresh towels were provided, although the room itself was not fully cleaned every day. It was also very quiet at night, which helped for a relaxing stay.

The exceptional value of Otantik Guesthouse lies in its staff, always willing to help you, even when it comes to organizing your excursions around the city. Other positive points: a plentiful and delicious breakfast, comfortable rooms, and proximity to a PPT ATM and the Beyazit tram station, which is a great hub for getting around the city. If you don’t mind walking, the main historical area is easily reachable on foot.

“A truly Turkish delight”
Everything. Very good quality for the price paid. The guesthouse is a family owned business and they make you feel at home. We arrived very late at night and they kindly welcomed us. We have never expected such complete and delicious breakfast. I recommend 100%! This is a good way to help locals instead of accommodating yourself in another massive business.

“Nice place with good value in Sultanahmet”
Nice room and clean, good value for a location in Sultanahmet, the owners were very nice, friendly and helped with everything we might need. The accomodation is close to IST Bazar and 15 min walk by Hagia Sophia Mosque.

“Good value for money”
High recomendation for owner and him family, so nice positive people. Rooms were clean, thay change towels and clean room every day. Nice and safe part of town, a lot of good and cheap restaurants near hotel.

We liked the location. By walking and public transport we could get everywhere we wanted. It is in less touristic area so there are many local restaurants/cafes with cheaper prices nearby. The breakfast was simple but ok: fried egg, 2 types of cheese, ham, tomato cucumber, olives, bread, jam, honey, tea or coffee.

“Wonderful location, staff and breakfast”
It's a lovely truly Turkish budget hotel, with fantastic team managing it, always willing to help and provide advice. Excellent location right in the heart of the Old Town, very safe, monitored 24/7, a wonderful traditional breakfast. We also used the affordable airport transfer offered by the hotel, it was very convenient.

“Great value for money with very friendly staff”
They went the extra mile to help us with everything we needed, from carrying our bags upstairs to organising airport shuttles, to booking transport, and sightseeing recommendations, and lending us an umbrella on a rainy day. The breakfast was simple but very fresh and delicious.
