Lovely room, comfortable bed with air-conditioning. Peaceful, too. It felt like you were in the country, though very close to the motorway. The restaurant was busy even on a Wednesday night. Food was great value for ample portions . Staff were very friendly. Highly recommended.

“Great food, comfortable room”
The Auberge is primarily about food, which is great. Despite its location just off a freeway ramp, with a couple of other chain hotels and out of town it pulled in a full house of diners both nights we were there 100+ and we had great meals. There are only a couple of rooms, up an outside staircase, but the room was spacious, comfortable and a walk -in shower in the bedroom, but a separate toilet cubicle. Our initial negative impression of the location was replaced by the food quality, helpful staff and a good room.

“Didn't stay”
We arrived earlier than expected and the hotel had a big function on. The staff were not interested in us. We waited a half an hour and nobody attended to us so we left and found another more accommodating hotel.

A great room newly decorated with a lot of space and nice decor. The restaurant is clearly a local legend with a fantastic chef who serves a very authentic local menu with huge portions and friendly staff

“Very welcoming and comfortable stay”
A fabulous nights stay at the end of a very long days driving. The staff were all so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Dinner in the very popular restaurant outside was great. A v buzzy relaxed atmosphere made all the better for an impromptu performance by a large party of diners who were a choir celebrating someone’s birthday. It was lovely. Dinner was delicious and highly recommended. Will definitely stay again if in the area

The room includes a sofa but that doesn’t make it a suite. I was surprised when the hotel demanded the €200 block. I am not used to this at all, and this probably goes for most travellers. Although I have since seen on Booking’s website that the information is there (bottom of the page in “House rules”), the information could be placed more prominently. I checked out on 18 June and the €200 block was released 22 June. This is unacceptably slow.
