Very beautifull place, very friendly people. We had the island almost for ourselves it was wonderful. We liked the concept of sustainable (water purification and solar panel systems) as well as maintaining clean place as role models for Nicaragua.

“Tranquil stay on isleta”

The property is beautiful, located on a small island on the lake. The vibe is very tranquil and serene, perfect for switching off and getting away from the busyness of Granada. Pablo was very helpful in organising our boat to and from the port to get to the island. He was also very attentive to all of our requests. The breakfast was tasty, the banana pancakes were absolutely delicious! The bungalow we stayed in was well furnished, lovely design and calming atmosphere. The bed was decent although felt a bit hard and pillows were not soft enough for us. The outdoor areas are super nice, the pool area is great for relaxing, although lacks shade so maybe some umbrellas would be a good addition.

“A truly unique stay with incredible views”

Spectacularly designed hotel. Generous, comfortable rooms, a great pool, lovely lounge areas, old mango trees that drop fruit, kayaks on site, and an incredibly picturesque location. They’re able to organise shore activities and a local fishing tour (though don’t expect to catch anything, you don’t go when the fish are feeding 😀) Overall, it feels truly special.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently had the pleasure of staying at Isleta El Espino, and it was truly a memorable experience. Nestled on a private island in Lake Nicaragua, this eco-resort perfectly blends natural beauty, serenity, and warm hospitality. From the moment we arrived by boat, we were captivated by the lush surroundings and tranquil atmosphere. The rooms are beautifully designed — airy, clean, and tastefully rustic, offering stunning lake views. Waking up to the sounds of birds and gentle waves was pure bliss. The staff deserves special praise. Every team member was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring guests have a wonderful stay. The food was another highlight — fresh, locally sourced, and expertly prepared, with plenty of healthy and vegetarian options. We enjoyed kayaking around the isletas, lounging by the pool, and taking in breathtaking sunsets from the deck. Highly recommended for those looking for a unique, eco-friendly escape in Nicaragua. I’d happily return in a heartbeat.

“Nice location and team, but very expensive for limited comfort and dirty toilets”

Beautiful island, nice rooms with great view. Team was very friendly and organized interesting tours for us. As it was the anniversary of me and my wife the team decorated the dinner table very nicely and organized sparkling wine. However, the wine was way too expensive (60 USD)

“Very small resort on private island.”

Very nice place on a remote private island. Nice views, nice food and super friendly staff. We were the only guests right after their new opening (closed due to some maintenance). So we could enjoy all facilities by ourselves. If all rooms are booked, the pool is for sure too small (only 4 sun beds). The manager Maria Jose is super friendly as well as all the other staff members. Prices are OK as you are on a remote island.

“Most relaxing weekend”

Very quiet place in the middle of nature. Staff overwhelmingly friendly and helpful. Excellent food, fresh juices, herbs and salads and of course fish from the lake. Just relax, take a swim in the lake or the pool, enjoy the sun setting behind the slopes of Mombacho volcano, and see it being illuminated by the rising sun next morning. Have a cocktail, and go kayaking around neighboring isletas.

Wish we could give more 'points'. This place was the most amazing and pleasant accommodation in the more than 2 weeks traveling in Nicaragua. Everything was just perfect. The location (one of the small islands -Isletas- on a 15 min boat trip away from Granada with only 4 other huts), the design (beautiful colors and functionality), the staff (during the afternoon/evening English and very kind/helpful), delicious food and free use of kayaks.

Beautiful little island, lush and with great views. Staff is super helpful and kind. Only a few cabanas on the island, so it's really tranquil. Nice swimming pool, good food. Only 10min by boat (they pick you up) from the harbour. Would recommend coming here!
